I once got an emergency call to a theatre where a fight scene mishap left an actress punched out cold. There's less opportunity for harm in entertainment relative to medicine but it does happen sometimes.
I saw a lecture years ago where, among other things, the professor demonstrated the iPhone calculator app doing calculations differently depending on if you held it portrait or landscape. I think that was poor design rather than intent to mess up your calculations.
Surely investors and tech leaders, as distinct from speculators, should be testing the product and doing due diligence on the company. I'm just a layman and I liked how a small version of deepseek ran faster and with less power draw on my PC than other small version models did. Output, very informally tested, was good. I did not think the 'reasoning' text added anything useful but I'm also not qualified to say how it contributed to the final output.

That argument makes sense for a mentally capable person choosing not to use eye protection while operating a chainsaw but it's much less clear that a person who is by definition mentally ill is capable of making such an informed choice.
Not sure if you're serious, but wouldn't it be more efficient to upscale at source and stream the result? Extra bandwidth versus a million TVs all doing the same computation.
Not to defend her preference, but faces (and everything else) can also look different depending on the focal length of the lens used and the distance from lens to subject, _and most people won't realise_.

I get similar navigation issues with Google maps. I still use Google maps for driving because the live traffic is important to me, but other posts on here mention other apps with live traffic so I'll give them a try.
They can promise whatever they like knowing there's very little chance they will be put to the test.
The last time the Lib Dems got a taste of power in 2010 it was by going into coalition with the Tories at the cost of dumping key election pledges. Next election they were dumped by the public and their leader Nick Clegg was hired by Meta - presumably for his connections as he has no particular talent to sell.
