imagetic··on Bluesky 2025 Transparency Report
I disabled reposts and quoted posts to knock the noise down to 0. Since then I've enjoyed my time on Bluesky. In many ways it feels like old Twitter with simple filtering and I think that's what people wanted?!?

But Twitter felt cringe to me long before it was consumed by Musk and politics. Messing with the feed has backfired all of the big platforms. First Facebook then Twitter and most recently Instagram.

They all became a closed loop of content that is force fed. Injecting an ad in the a feed we control wasn't ever enough.

imagetic··on City Weather Explorer (3D comparison)
I love it. I wish I could tilt the chart on the other axis at times and it could be less "thick" so its easier to read overlaps. But so far so good. My partner and I had a lot of fun exporting the city we used to live in vs where we are now.

imagetic··on How two photographers transformed RAW photo support on Mac
It's always cool to see new options for processing. Anything to bypass the Adobe overlords.
imagetic··on How two photographers transformed RAW photo support on Mac
If you're shooting RAW you probably have a processing pipeline in mind.

Finder supporting thumbnails for newer cameras is a pain but it's not all that normal to browser your archives in Finder either.

https://home.camerabits.com is a commonly used tool for browsing photographer/files and editing metadata. I've used it for ingesting and selects since 2005. Almost everywhere I've ever worked has used it to some degree.

After ingestion, you would import to Lightroom or Capture ONE for processing and finally you export to jpg or a generic usable format and size.
