I don't actually care what Scott Adams thinks, I enjoyed his Dilbert comic back in the day, I didn't know that it was still around with new material.
The point is, Why is the media giving him attention as such? Because it serves their agenda of PROMOTING racism. The people in power LOVE RACISM because it keeps people divided and fighting amongst themselves. The problem is the media.
But I suppose you think it's ok to hate all Russians.
And anti-vaxxers.
And Trump supporters.
This racism nonsense has been created mostly by the media.

This is not Ukraine vs Russia, this is the US/NATO vs Russia
Someone needs to be chosen to act as a liaison between AI and humanity. Perhaps a short, stocky, bald person such as Jean-Luc Picard. If he is not available, George Costanza will suffice.
I think the issue with AI is that the average person doesn't understand how it works, and the problem is when somebody in a position of power becomes infatuated with it. I don't fear AI, but I fear bad-AI, or misused-AI.
Those who understand how it works know that its mostly Garbage In-Garbage Out
Perhaps 'The Neutral Zone' season 1 episode 26. There is a cryogenically frozen person brought back to life, and he is obsessed with finding out about the value of his stock portfolio, and he and Picard have a conversation about how money no longer exists.
But I don't recall any episode that really explores the idea of a post-scarcity world (which is essentially communism I suppose)
During WW2, even the German nazis were surprised by how ruthless the Ukrainian nazis were, even they thought the Ukrainian nazis went too far. The Ukrainian nazis are worse than the German nazis.
I believe that Putin has no desire to conquer Ukraine. The days of empire building are a relic from the past. Everybody in Donbas/Crimea speaks Russian anyway.
Technology simply changes the medium, but the end result remains the same. Transformative AI falls into the category of technology.
The value of things are cyclical, especially during times of war and times of prosperity. Everything goes up and down in value.
It seems that Sam is assuming that the current political structure and monetary system will remain intact in perpetuity.

This is not a discipline that I am aware of
- Learning to make software in order to make the lives of humans miserable
This is a discipline, but not quite Computer Science
- Learning to make software so that great engineers become average engineers, and incompetent engineers become managers
This is software engineering
This has not been my experience.
That person then wrote "But for anything real, hell yes, give me a good build mechanism." which implies that he creates real, high quality applications.
But my experience is that all front end web applications are all sub-par, so it doesn't really matter if a SPA uses a bundler or not, it doesn't affect quality when it is all shit anyway. So more power to the guy who decides to not use the bundler.
In the end, I agree with Alan Kay, the web was created by a bunch of amateurs
But peak iPhone for me was a jailbroken device running iOS 5 or 6. Back then, everything was still Objective-C, which meant that every object could be introspected in the live system and swizzled which allowed for making tweaks to the actual system. You also had Unix underneath and could login to a bash shell and install a compiler.
But someone who learns to program Swift on an iPhone or iPad simply won't have a deep understanding of how anything works. Even if you pay the $99, it's still a rather unpleasant experience to program on iOS given all the restrictions.
I got news for you. The riskiest place to park your money right now is government bonds. Long-dated US treasuries are risky. You will end up losing everything.
But if you insist on US treasuries, be my guest. I need someone to trade against.
Few people know this, but that was actually the original title for "War and Peace". It was his mistress who insisted that he call it "War and Peace".
