I saw it. It is very impressive too.

I don't understand the question. The game can be played both on an emulator and on real hardware.

This is probably the best looking C64 game ever.

It is interesting why this article is not banned from HN after Seymour Hersh's article was banned. :)

I'm using https://theoldreader.com/. It is very similar to the discontinued Google Reader.

This article makes me think of two other articles which discuss the matter. One by Bartosz Milewski[1] and one by Eli Bendersky[2]. The main idea of both is that programming can change significantly from what we do today but never will be obsolete. It just will be on an upper step on the meta ladder.

olx.bg is a place where it can be found some gear but it is not a dedicated place and there are very few options. It's like a local version of eBay. Mainly old Pravetz computers some of which are clones of Apple II and Pravetz 8D which is a clone of Oric Atmos. I'm not sure about the working condition of the computers which can be purchased there.

This is great. But I'm even more interested in computers than in consoles. :)

An emulation is a good option which I currently use even purchasing a commercial emulator for ZX Spectrum as well a ZX Spectrum Next modern retro computer. But I'm considering becoming a collector of original hardware. :)

I'm from Bulgaria. I hope to find a dedicated online store.

> I thought you were a game store…where are the video games? > We are! In order to maintain a high level of quality and selection for our local customers, we’re unfortunately unable to sell video games through our website. Our website features plushies, apparel, and other merchandise, but you’ll have to visit us in person to see our selection of games!

Not very helpful if I'm outside of the US. I hoped for an online store.

The latest news is that this was a Ukrainian SAM missile that unsuccessfully tried to intercept a Russian missile.

This game is also written in Nim: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1444480/Turing_Complete/

I think that Fabien Sanglard's Game Engine Black Books about the creation of Wolfenstein 3D and Doom are good examples of software development in general and game development in particular at that time. He also has a book about CP-System.

It should be "Basic".

I think that almost all AAA game developers are using C++ for their projects.

Rogozin was highly incompetent and pure political appointment. It is a good step for Russia dismissing him.

For some types of bookmarks I started to use a GitHub repositories with a markdown document in them. Those are my bookmarks collected mainly through HN:

- A list of freely available articles, tutorials, book about programming, math and science: https://github.com/bobeff/programming-math-science

- A list of open source games: https://github.com/bobeff/open-source-games

It sounds like a joke that such topic needs a dedicated book. :)

Those are my personal bookmarks to programming, math, and science resources most of which I found via Hacker News. I decided to make it available on GitHub. Contributions are welcomed.

Take notes about the most important parts of what you learnt. That way when you have to recall a topic you don't have to reread the whole book or tutorial but just your notes.

This will result in less junk food for the Russians. :)

It seems that Stanford's "Artificial Intelligence" course requires a login to be able to view the course's materials.

Microsoft Visual Studio for Windows and QtCreator for Linux.

They restrict the usage of artillery and air power to avoid a high number of civilian casualties.

I promoting it in hope that other people will start to contribute to it.

This is a small list with my bookmarks of open-source video games. Contributions are welcomed.

You are correct. This is "awesome list" variety.
