hu_me··on Facebook Starts Merging Timeline URLs and Email Addresses
isnt this a privacy snafu? they are effectively publicly listing email addresses of all their users whose profiles are publicly listed.

facebook.com/myname myname@facebook.com

I can basically do a google search to get to get a list of user urls

hu_me··on Amazon acquiring Kiva Systems for $775 million
This is a very smart play on part of Amazon. They have around 65 fulfillment centers and they are adding more this year.[1]

It costs around 15-20million to get a kiva system for a large fulfillment center.[2] With the number of kiva system amazon would need in those centres they surely saved a whole bag of money by buying the company instead of just systems, not to mention first dibs on future innovations.

hu_me··on The Gentleman's Agreement
ranking social content created and shared and filtering out the noise is I think the biggest problem with current gen of social networks and though fb's edgerank is better than anything else out there I still find myself on g+ to avoid the overload. but the biggest offender is twitter using only time as the decision making point to update me about my interest graph is not very effective (and its slow loading of old tweets doesnt help either). [though if its only intended as a real time feed I may be using it wrong]
hu_me··on Visitor.js
its a useful service for targeting and can actually be used to personalize the site more than gimmicky g'day..

like offering deals, suggesting content (based on keywords), optimizely and reedge do offer this sort of thing in its package, but this looks easier to integrate and utilize. but a bit expensive for the service offering

hu_me··on Visitor.js
actually you can personalize a session.. you would need to parse the __utmz and other cookies set by GA. but this one provides a simple set and an easier way to do it.
