I’ve noticed this too using an HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 with a 16” and 2x 4K60 monitors. I just assumed it was because it’s summer here and the laptop tends to sit in the sun a bit, but it’d be nice if it got fixed.
MagSafe 1 and 2 topped out at 85W. There are gaming laptops that require more than one brick-sized charger. There are legitimate complaints in this thread, but this isn’t one of them.
I consider my relationship with Messenger separate from FB. Most of my conversations happen there. I've deleted FB from my phone, but I don't think I could ever go without Messenger.
I'm not a huge privacy freak - I have the default cookie settings on all my browsers and I'm signed into multiple Google accounts. They know who I am. I can only suspect my adblocker could be blocking something there, but other than that I should be about a regular of a user as they come.
Back in the days of book digitising reCaptcha it was fairly easy to distinguish which word was from the book vs computer generated and only answer half the captcha and pass.
Even the UX of reCaptcha has seriously gone downhill recently. I wonder how many hours per week I spend clicking pictures of busses and traffic lights. I would rather pay than complete them at this point.
I'd wager this is a fairly fringe case that isn't worth the trade off. If you don't have a recent backup and absolutely need the data, take it to a third party repair shop/buy a screen from ifixit/data recovery lab, connect a new display, enter your PIN, back it up.
I doubt they really care at the end of the day. My Instagram username is three letters and I (used to) get 4-5 reset emails a day prior to turning on 2FA. I also frequently get asked if I want to sell the name. I'm just worried someone will get in and take it.
> But if you deal directly with Google ad sales (and this is something I never knew existed tbh) they will intentionally screw you if you are under a certain spend.
