Being self-taught, different experiences bring different problem-solving approaches and not _everyone_ has the need to know Haskell or Racket to self-identify as a programmer.
This is exactly the kind of article that prevent people to consider a software engineering career.
I dont think this statement is true however:
> The core market for Apple until quite recently was not the everyday user but developers, designers and the more tech savvy.
Historically the core market of Apple Computer has been graphic-designers, journalists and the education market. Developers have only been on the platform post OS X because of unix.
It looks slightly blurry on Chrome for me, seems to have been tested primarily on Safari? Also, the redesign may be a bit bland, but overall it's a pretty good job. Now if someone could apply those design cues to Django-Admin that would be awesome!
I finally took a step by step approach and started with a very minimal .vimrc and worked my way up from there, solving real problems I ran into. I think the key is to choose your battle.
Also this helped me understand the core concepts of how Vim operates: https://pragprog.com/book/dnvim/practical-vim
