hanula··on Modern Physics From Scratch
Oh my, this is exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to dive in into this but does anyone maybe know about similar online resources you could learn some more advanced physics topics? Btw, Susskind is such a great man, love his way of work and persistence.
hanula··on Python.org Redesign Preview
yup, that's a terrible example, not only because of the stupid variable name but poor example code choice. It's work in progress I assume.
hanula··on AngularStrap - Bootstrap directives for AngularJS
AngularJS is very interesting, simple and powerful, but can anyone give some insights of how to properly use it for just a part of the website? I don't want to have JS only webapp, but to serve full server-generated pages. Or maybe it's wrong tool for the job?
hanula··on Why the Fuck?
That reminds me of this terrific example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOYCkHFMnVc Funny/sad, but true.

hanula··on Bye Bye Ubuntu, a sad Christmas
Similar here, but Xubuntu (12.04). Old laptop previously running Ubuntu 9.04 which this time just worked out of the box. Everything they need. Internet connectivity, browser, Skype (no webcam though). They are happy as it's enough for them (parents over 60). New installation doesn't brake, no viruses, very safe for them to work with it. I can't imagine giving them Windows (which will not run smoothly on this laptop) worrying they will have lots of spyware, viruses, etc. after few months.

On the other hand my personal laptop runs Arch with DWM. I don't look back at Ubuntu for professional use. I'm so much happier.

hanula··on Man Walks All Day to Create Spectacular Snow Patterns
Crazy man ;) Great to see people like that and sometimes to take some of the positive craziness with you. This made my day.
hanula··on IPython gets $1.15M funding
Fantastic news, IPython deserves it and can't wait what they will deliver next.
hanula··on Qtile 0.5 released – pure Python tiling WM
dwm is my favorite so far, does the job very well, but as python dev I should give qtile more attention again. Looks interesting.
hanula··on Shitter: Toilet Paper of Tweets
Brilliant idea indeed! I would like to see it more customized though, especially to print #tag results... Later to choose your paper depending on your mood.
hanula··on Don't launch a company, launch an experiment
Good article as a reminder what should you focus on. That's one of my New Year's resolutions about code projects. To show something in quite early stage of development - instead of trying to get everything done. Having a feedback straight away, from users that would eventually use your software, will validate your idea. Recommended to all of those who starts projects and abandon them after a while of intensive work which wasn't shown to anybody. It of course applies to small projects, or ideas to test. If you plan to start a big company, then there are other ways for validation.
hanula··on It’s a great time to be a programmer in the UK

hanula··on Twss.js

hanula··on Poll: Do you think HN should go dark in protest of SOPA?
I agree with you and although I am not U.S. citizen and I read HN several times a day (so it will be a hard day without it) I give you full support in this action. Just go ahead and fight!
hanula··on Show HN: Courtside.me
Just so you know: FB and Twitter auth doesn't work atm. Otherwise, it's a nice app.
hanula··on Poll: HN readers, where's your residence?
same here
hanula··on One-hour Project: really fast timer
fun idea :)
hanula··on Watch a swarm of flying robotic drones construct a tiny building
"...May Build Your Next House". Yea, right. All in all it's designed to kill people in the end.

hanula··on Bored on a Sunday morning? Learn Python
Never too much of Python promotion. Upvoted.
hanula··on Ask HN: Will Twitter Drop WikiLeaks?
No way.
hanula··on Thank you for the laughts Leslie Nielsen. Rest in peace.
One of my favorite actors. The best one in comedy! I was hoping for many more great movies from him... Thank you for the laughts. Rest in peace.
hanula··on How much startup stock options are worth
Sometimes it's not worth to work for stock options. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyM3HVdH1Kw
hanula··on Paychecks Exposed: Google, Apple, Facebook and More
That's right. Facebook doesn't fn care about maintaining API and when something isn't working you find out it's deprecated, without warning.
hanula··on Which programming language do you want to learn next?
It's strange but after Python I don't feel like I need/want to learn sth new.

hanula··on Is there such a thing as a sustainable todo system?
I second that. Pomodoro Technique is dead simple and yet effective! No more procrastination while doing boring or where-to-start-with-that things. It really helped me a lot.

You can find out more about this at http://www.pomodorotechnique.com/

hanula··on Piknik - my full screen color picker
Simple and useful. I like it.
hanula··on Ask HN: What Python web programming frameworks and tools are you using?
Setup: * Pylons+SQLAlchemy+formencode+Mako+WSGI apps * PostrgeSQL * Nginx

Tools: * Virtualenv * Fabric

Best combination. Zope, Django, Web2py, web.py are just not that flexible & reliable for advanced web applications (IMHO).

hanula··on Ask HN: Who Is Hiring? (October 2010 Edition)
use python, it's simpler ;) python -c "print 'd29ya0BzdHJlZXRlYXN5LmNvbQ=='.decode('base64')"
