Most of their products are server based so there's no version really. Also they kill stuff off before it would ever be v2 anyway. Also also, they're still better than Microsoft, see Xbox and Windows.
I'll do it on my phone, but it's usually just over the area I was reading when I decided to look away, so it's not while I'm reading, only if I'm going to go somewhere else first.
It's no worse than vscode. Sure there's permissions, but it's super common for an extension to start a process and that process can do anything it wants.
Without it there's some silly inconsistency. For example I could call `person?.SetName(name)`, but if you wanted to refactor that into `person?.Name = name` you can't.
My understanding is that Wise isn't a true international transfer. Wise has money already in a Brazilian account, and when they receive money in their European account then they send you money from their Brazilian account. If they don't have enough money in that Brazilian account then it can't be instant like it is today.
Very frustrating because it hides syncing your data into 3rd party clouds, not just their priority one. So I can't sync with Google Drive without paying them, which is very weird.
From what I've read about that incident I don't know what the devs could have done. The company sure was a problem but also the laws basically saying a computer can't be wrong. No dev can solve that problem.
Right but in supply chain terms I'm way less likely to trust the build from some random person. So if your company cares about it's supply chain it's easy to justify the expense.
What did you see? Chat GPT produced a bunch of words which were each a combination of the first 2. Gemini and Claude gave words which felt related in some vague way
Yeah I don't know if I've ever used them. Maybe once or twice ever. For me the main problem is UX. Sharing from my platform (copy url on computer, share button on android) is always in the same place. But the share button built in is never in the same place across different websites, how could it be?
I find it impressive that LLMs can so closely mimic the behaviour of a junior dev. Even if that's not a desirable outcome it's still impressive and interesting.
