The iShares Small Cap Growth ETF (which is a probably a decent proxy for the most volatile companies in the market) is only down 13% on the year.
> This is not true. The riskiest stocks are down thousands of %.
I mean, sure looks like you were trying to argue that crypto isn't performing worse than the riskiest decile of the stock market, which just isn't true at all.
You're likely confusing life expectancy with "healthy life expectancy", which is a different metric that measures the number of years a person can be expected to live in good health.

There's the bold assumption haha. I'm certain that less than 5% of all job interviews use leetcode.
Even in big tech, I'd imagine the majority of interviewees (such as the product manager who wrote the original article) won't need it.
>I feel this fact was exemplified by the "Damn Daniel" clip from 2015. I hated it at the time and still do. There was no humour to it. It was funny because everyone else thought it was funny.
It seems like a lot of author's criticisms are due to them no longer being a part of the in-group which memes are being created by and intended for. I can ensure you, many teenagers found humor in the "Damn Daniel" clip in 2015.
Given how heavily memes are tied to identification with an in-group, I imagine they will have an ever stronger "kids these days don't know real music" effect than other forms of pop culture.
I know we're on HackerNews, but this is still a very bold assumption lol
Based on what? In my experience, most of the worst audio experiences are middle-brow action movies (such as Edge of Tomorrow and Nolan's movies), not auteur.
It's worth noting that members of Congress are given a 45-day window before they are required to disclose any new stock transactions.
It's not a perfect solution, as I'm sure some of the discussion on these companies is loaded with jargon that wouldn't be interpreted accurately by a general sentiment analyzer.
You can follow along and see how the WallStreetBets "portfolio" performs compared to the market every day.
If you click the column heading in the second table, you should be able to sort by median salary for the major H1B employers.
Any suggestions on where to find non-H1B median salary data, aside from doing something like scraping Glassdoor?
Right now you can use it to see the biggest H1B employers and their median salaries for workers on visa. Open to any suggestions on how to make it more useful!
It was interesting to see that Elon Musk received almost 10x more compensation than any other Russell 3000 CEO last year, primarily due to the large performance incentives included in his contract.
If you're curious about how retail confidence is holding up, here's a dashboard I'm building to track discussion on the notorious WallStreetBets subreddit: https://www.quiverquant.com/wallstreetbets/
There is compelling evidence that this shared ownership can lead to anticompetitive outcomes, such as lower wages and higher prices: https://ssrn.com/abstract=2427345.
My goal is to highlight the extent to which voting power in many competing companies is being concentrated among a small number of institutions, and spark discussion about this problem.
Let me know if you have any suggestions for improvements to the dashboard!

That's interesting, and goes against the conventional wisdom that markets driven by automated, high-frequency trading will be much more volatile. I wonder if HFTs made major changes to avoid another Flash Crash.
Looking to expand on this dashboard over the next few weeks, please let me know if you have any suggestions on other data sources or visualizations to consider adding.
