grav··on AmigaOne X5000 – first impression
In which case do you need to test big endian? Compiler or low-level library development?
grav··on What Happens When You Send a Zero-Day to a Bank?
I felt ignorant first when reading it as well. But looking at the "FAQ" at the bottom, it says:

"But this only affects people that are logged in, right? Yes ..."

So I suppose what happens is, that the user is already logged into the service and thus has a cookie for the service in his browser.

If the user then somehow executes a request to the URL in the article with the same browser (eg viewing a malicous email with the IMG tag in a webmail client), the browser will enclose the cookie in the header of the request. This makes the request automatically authenticated.

grav··on Linting HTML using CSS
Inline styles are what keeps my React code maintainable :-)
grav··on Password-less login
Password-less login is a bit of a weird naming. I'd call it one-time passwords. And then I'd maybe not use email, since this clutters the inbox. Instead something like Google Authenticator or SMS passwords would be a good solution, the latter maybe being a bit expensive for the service provider.
grav··on How I discovered my left AirPod was bad
There is. It's just not always large enough.
grav··on Show HN: Angular 2 HN – A progressive Hacker News client that works offline
Why can't it? What's keeping the browser from caching it?
grav··on George W. Bush is smarter than you (2013)
Yes, exactly my opinion if Hitler had won.
grav··on Show HN: PullToRefresh.js
Very nice feeling to it, although it's lacking overscroll (or overflow scroll) on iOS
grav··on Native virtualization for macOS
I have a current `docker-compose`-based dev-setup, which I'd like to move out of Docker for Mac because of instability and into a Linux VM.

One dirty detail is that the Docker containers need to communicate with the host machine (the dev-Mac). Would this be achievable with the limited bridge that Veertu supports?

grav··on Massive Dyn DNS outage
I doubt that your offline playlists were affected ...
grav··on Tonic is now RunKit, a part of Stripe
In other news, Wingdong is now Bombom, a part of Jiive
grav··on WaveNet: A Generative Model for Raw Audio
Filtering out certain notes from a piano chord can be done by e.g. Melodyne, but that seems far from what's necessary to generate speech, so it would surprise me, if WaveNet can do that?
grav··on Flash and Chrome
They need a more technical description of "default experience". How is Chrome supposed to know if a site only supports Flash? I've tried several sites that require Flash, but only until I change the user agent to a mobile browser. Will Chrome try messing with the user agent in this case?
grav··on The Security of Our Election Systems
Paper votes makes a lot of sense, as it is possible to verify for non-experts.
grav··on Online tracking: A 1-million-site measurement and analysis
Why would two browsers with the exact same user agent (ie same, version, same OS, same arch) yield two different renditions of an audio fingerprint?
grav··on Xcode 7.3.1 is available on the Mac app store
Will the Mac App Store download only the diff?
grav··on Why I don’t use CSS preprocessors
React components with inline css has eliminated the need for preprocessors and stylesheet classes for my team altogether.
grav··on NPM and Left-Pad: Have We Forgotten How to Program?
Isn't the problem that there is a lack of a good standard library in Javascript?
grav··on Man hacks Tesla firmware, finds new model, has car remotely downgraded
How did someone manage to find the image from the SHA hash?
grav··on Deco Software – React Native IDE
Looks nice. Here's hoping you'll do support for ClojureScript and Reagent. Or open source it and let me do it :-)
