Scala (700 lines/file)
Managed to do more with nvim - yet to try syntactic again, thatll be the real test) but so far amuch more stable experience movement wise. (the files i work on are huge and im tasked with refactoring, so i cant avoid the hugeness)
Vim lags on my project, nvim doesnt! Quadcorei5, 16hb ram!
The title is a tad misleading. They just want to delay the project, not block it. (at least i undetstood theyd delay it from initially reading the title)
I do get you, but take it witha grain of sault. The real danger to our discourse is opinion Manipulation and echo chambers.
Im glad atleast some folks find the post funny.
Big is folks like Bosch, daimler, deloit etc. Theyre not google big, big certainly big on software. If ur brave, try SAP.
Daimler always looks for new intrrnationsl talent, check them out
700bucks for abag squeezer? Something went terribly wrong.
It feels like they aimed to produce some advanced robotics and built the wrong product. Could turn this into a limb for amputees, makes more sense and actually good use of the resources.
Times change and so does language, true to any old fart out there, and the old farts to be.
Bosch, daimler, sap, all Offer no strings attached.
The company iwork at didnt exactly prefer me over others, ihad way more linux experience than other candidates and it was a dev ops position, but i also saw a gleam in their eye when they heard id like to stay long term.
Its a resource issue, im "cleaning up" lots of the code my short term predecessors left behind.
Short term apprenticeships generate quite a bit of technicalde debt for a "small" company.
Addendum;
Apprenticeships require resources. So a small compny would be more willing to spend what they can afford- engineer guidance and withstanding non productivity- on prrsons they can benefit from.
Big companies benefit from apprentices(?) that lean towards their tech stack going to other companies. So its not all bad.
Tip: want a no strings attached p Apprenticeship: go big.
There are many individuals and their respected conglomerates who own sums that equal and exceed the wealth of many nations. Our systems and even our own nature allows for this. And its bad. Real bad.
Some are benevolent, most arent.
I mean this does sound conspiracy'ish, but it really isnt. We will feel the brunt of it all soon, and we'll need viable solutions, a new way of government, and a new way of sustaining ourselves that avoids such concentrations of power.
I moved to fedora because Ubuntu tends to break and guzzle resources.
By soon I mean not I our life time, but Certainly the few coming generations. We've been eating meat for millenia. I give till the end of the century.
the meat industry is a horror show, tbh, and they don't maximize product extraction because they want to save every last piece of protien, they do it for the cash.
