The difference is, they were being used. Now they'll only be of use further down the line, and I have to readjust my daily workflow. Just because. It's highly frustrating and makes me regret putting so much effort in embracing 'the Anthropic way' when a rug pull can come out of nowhere. I wish I'd put that effort into my own tooling instead. They invented the protocol? I used Claude Desktop extensively in testing. No other local clients currently interop very well with MCP Tooling. They're more of an afterthought for other clients.

I put 10 months of work into MCP. Been a Max 20 x subscriber since Day 1. Spent thousands via the API previously. Anthropic randomly banned my account with no warning or explanation last week. I've had to spent significant time and resources moving AWAY from MCP.

Do not get comfy with any of these protocols or companies. They can destroy your workflows and livelihood in an instant.

I would venture that 'tightening the feedback loop' isn't necessarily 'increasing the number of back and forth prompts'- and what you're saying you want is ultimately his argument. i.e. if integral enough it can almost guess what you're going to say next...

I've been implementing a bare metal APL Assembly kernel on mac arm and have been surprised at the resurgence of interest in languages like it. I think people are in general thinking about symbol representation/compression to a fundamental level for these performance gains. It's been fun to try and hack AMX implementation and couldn't do any of it without the shoulders of giants / Asahi linux project

I've been building a 'neuromorphic' kernel/bare metal OS that operates on mac hardware using APL primitives as its core layer. Time is considered another 'position' and the kernel itself is vector oriented using 4d addressing with a 32x32x32 'neural substrate'.

I am so ready and eager for a paradigm shift of hardware & software. I think in the future 'software' will disappear for most people, and they'll simply ask and receive.

My advice is not "Do what you love" but "Love what you do". Find pride in yourself and your journey, and no fall will follow.
