Do you want to use something that makes you miserable? Is any language including those designed by 3 year old 'just a tool' that is to be used despite obviously being shitty?
Never understood that argument.

I think the web with all its shortcomings is the best thing to happen to tech industry and I want it to succeed. That does NOT mean it should be used for everything.

Make sure proper ad blocking only works in firefox and make google choke on their evil policies masked with performance concerns.
Their word extends no further than the next paycheck. And people still fall for it.
The problem is in the user. They do this because we let them. Spread the adblock around your non-technical peers whenever you can.
Certainly. However, something even better will replace it and you guys will moan about it again. It only hurts yourself if you refuse to learn.
Same question. Who's going to write all those 'components' wrapping libraries for each of those when everyone has already moved on to react or vue? Some disgruntled retrograde? Am I supposed to waste time on it so that you can bask in the glory of 'pure html and js'?
If you're not going to, don't tell me how to work with code I gotta work with.
Can we just agree to let this meme die? React and vue didn't appear because developers wanted bloat.
If you want to reduce bloat, take that to corporate greedy actors stuffing pages with tracking and don't ever touch tools that make my life easier.
It's one of those problems that are solved only at the individual level but because of that are not going to be solved at all.
They haven't done it because it doesn't bring any benefits to the greedy corps, and apple is the worst offender with their dumbed down, shackled os
