Well, this is the issue, when my function exceeds the timeout configured in the function yml, lambda will respond with internal server error, and will freeze the VM, if it decides to reuse the VM for another request, then the go-routines of the last call will resume (because i didn't call os.Exit).

I hope so, i was testing running a service as a lambda function in AWS,

I am using time.NewTicker()/time.After() and co to control go routines behaviour (via channels).

To my surprise, this is not behaving well in lambda, many times, a Ticker configured for 1 second for example, will tick after 12 sec, sometimes even 200sec, it's not consistent at all.

When i increase the memory allocated to the lambda function (which will increase the number of cpu) it behaves better.

It's a large service with millions of call per day. i don't know if this was related to the GC stopTheWorld, Or something is wrong with lambda runtime.

What I like most about this kind of posts. Is that users will share other alternatives and gems. Not disspointed

Personally, i don't have issues with overweight. but before last ramadan (June), i was having some digestive issues, i lost appetite, and i was feelings like i need to vomit, but just after ramadan, everything is back to normal, i recovered quickly, and everything is back to normal,

Also i was starting to get used to drinking beers (alcohol), but i had not to drink the whole month, and since then i don't drink (i don't miss it) for non muslims it might seems like it's crazy thing to do and you are harming yourself, but it's really easy for us and we miss it.

as a muslim, i have to fast for a whole month (non stop) each year, it's hard, but i can clearly see the benefits during and after.

we recently moved all our images to s3, we have created some lambda function which compress the images using Guetzli, it's very slow but the results are good.

what worked for me,

1. disable social media, even netflix 2. running, swimming, and weight lifting (make new friends ) 3. lower my expectations in life, 4. socialise more with family and friends 5. explore new stuff (fishing, gardening, cooking) 6. meditation (or prayers since i am a muslim) 7. smile more, and care less about technology
