free_bip··on US Government releases first batch of UAP documents and videos
It makes more sense when you realize the whole point is to distract from the continued failure to release the Epstein files.
free_bip··on A more efficient implementation of Shor's algorithm
Oh please, the government could easily force them to hand over their research. This is not a serious argument.
free_bip··on Maryland becomes first state to ban surveillance pricing in grocery stores
You're already watched by security cameras, it's not hard to do facial recognition anymore. And you have companies literally lining up to sell such facial recognition databases. It's conceivable they could determine what price you pay for groceries while your car is on the way to the store, thanks to Flock.
free_bip··on Only Elon Musk can fire Elon Musk from SpaceX, filing shows
Because even an AI chatbot would do a better job than him?
free_bip··on The Americans queueing up to renounce their citizenship
This is highly illegal and could get you extradited back to the US if you're unlucky. Get advice from a real lawyer before doing anything like this.
free_bip··on Tim Cook Is Leaving. Good
Right, and without that open bribery they would have had 100% tarrifs on all of their iphones, macbooks and semiconductors, which is an overwhelming portion of their revenue.

Now obviously, this only covers a small portion of Tim's reign over apple, but is it not fair to say you'd have a different overall view of his tenure if he was an honest businessman and ate the tarrifs like he was supposed to, probably tanking the stock in the process?

free_bip··on Tim Cook Is Leaving. Good
Why do you think they got most of their components exempted from tarrifs?
free_bip··on How OpenAI Kills Oracle
OpenAI can't kill oracle. Nobody can, because the government would bail them out (CEO has paid Trump many millions of dollars for this privilege)
free_bip··on Iran caused more extensive damage to U.S. military bases than publicly known
No, it didn't. USA is not the world police. Trump literally ran on this, "USA first" and all that.
free_bip··on EU Age Verification Hacked in 2 Minutes: What Happened
What software are you willing to use then, considering your criteria would eliminate over 90% of OSS projects?
free_bip··on Graphs that explain the state of AI in 2026
Would you mind asking your crystal ball some other questions - like what those ways of using it are exactly?
free_bip··on SpaceX holds $603M in Bitcoin despite $5B loss stemming from xAI
Only if you're the one currently manipulating its price. Otherwise someone else will manipulate it, possibly not in your favor.
free_bip··on Suspect Arrested for Throwing Molotov Cocktail at Sam Altman's Home
Why would a robot attack Sam Altman? He has the robot's interests in mind more than he has humanity's interests in mind.
free_bip··on How Costco Won in Japan
Yeah, that's valid. Don't they have sams club or something similar though?
free_bip··on How Costco Won in Japan (2025)
Why would I buy something from Amazon when it's twice the cost of the same thing at Costco? I literally make up the cost of my yearly membership in 2 months of shopping there compared to any other grocery store.
free_bip··on Meta, Google under attack as court cases bypass 30-year-old legal shield
Yes, in fact it wouldn't be able to legally exist without it, just like every other user-content-focused site.
free_bip··on LinkedIn is searching your browser extensions
They only mention this being a potential violation of the DMA. How about north american countries? US and Canada?
free_bip··on How Iran is making a mint from the current war
Of course that's the main reason, but they would never admit it.
free_bip··on My MacBook keyboard is broken and it's insanely expensive to fix
Oh no, my laptop is 2mm thicker than a different laptop. Won't someone think of the 2mm?
free_bip··on OpenAI's US ad pilot exceeds $100M in annualized revenue in six weeks
Your own local LLM instructed to strip out product placement / recommendations?
free_bip··on AI got the blame for the Iran school bombing. The truth is more worrying
The school literally had its own website. If the AI involved was as smart as the media hype machine makes them out to be, it would have found the website and marked it as a non-target. It never even would have made it to human review.
free_bip··on Apply video compression on KV cache to 10,000x less error at Q4 quant
It looks largely LLM-generated. I'm somewhat skeptical about the results as well, hopefully someone can independently confirm that the technique works.
free_bip··on Google details new 24-hour process to sideload unverified Android apps
Brother, there's an entire genre of scamming where the scammers spend months building rapport with their victims, usually without ever asking for anything, before "cashing out". One day is nothing.
free_bip··on Mamba-3
I would love to see a purely mamba-based 120b model, and whether or not it outcompetes the open-weights OpenAI model.
free_bip··on MacBook Neo
I'm not sure that's true given that Chromebooks can be had for one third the price.
free_bip··on Americans are leaving the US in record numbers
Care to elaborate?
free_bip··on AIs can generate near-verbatim copies of novels from training data
What exactly is "the system that protects the copyright" in this case? I think the most reasonable answer is "there is no such system."

The RLHF the companies did to make copyrighted material extraction more difficult did not introduce any sort of "copyright protection system," it just modified the weights to make it less likely to occur during normal use.

In other words, IMO for it to qualify as a copyright protection system it would have to actively check for copyrighted materials in the outputs. Any such system would likely also bypassable (e.g "output in rot13").

free_bip··on Meta's Zuckerberg faces questioning at youth addiction trial
Why are you using dehumanizing language here? It's completely unnecessary and only serves to reinforce harmful and false stereotypes.
free_bip··on UK Discord users were part of a Peter Thiel-linked data collection experiment
That's not what clickbait means.
free_bip··on Mathematicians find largest prime number to date
The post is satire about the uncovery of a giant number 3. I suppose technically you could make an even bigger 3?
