And I'll just vent here a bit since you can't really help me much. Currently working on a project for about a month (on and off, not much free time), everything is working smoothly and I'm ALMOST ready for the launch. But. My head can't think of a project name and consequently, the logo (not that I'd be great at making one). The biggest headache for the week for me, heh.
Okay, I feel a bit better now.
Though, not sure if a touch-screen is the best thing for this kind of games because of a bit of the delay? Any functionality to account for that? :)
Sadly, don't have an Apple device and can't try it properly.
EDIT: P.S. The demo does seem to do the event on mouse release which kind of feels bad.
Currently, looking at selling ampoll.com. I probably just want too much but I'd rather just not sell if the selling price would make me feel shame towards myself :)
I should maybe just do very thorough inside beta with a few selected people I know to fix up at least the most annoying things.
Mind to not accidentally go to .com instead of .info.
Of course, coming home after work means I might just open same links I have opened at work.
Though, I'm not overcomplicating it all.
I'm currently working full-time developer for a single product. But trying to find at least a few evenings a week to work on my side project that miiight just take off. I'm a bit sceptical about the success but you never know! At least I'm having fun doing it, right?
Just register, install the plugin. You can create folders for various stuff. Drag n droping opens the plugin on the side and you can drop it to any folder you want.
Still sad about them dropping Firefox.
I've also noticed that the boids do seem to only care about obstacles when they're really close to them. I've added a small gap in a huge line of obstacles and they seem to never fly through it - looks liek they'd rather fly through the obstacles themselves more often.
Nonetheless, interesting to watch. I'm testing it on default settings.
Kind of offtopic, but if you're still looking for a developer, I'm sure I could help you with my services. I have commented on a recent "Freelancer?.." and you can find my email there.
I'll have dreams about it tonight ;)
P.S. I'd love to live in Switzerland, being in the somewhat-neutral land where you're not that threatened by Russia or other things that might make your days miserable :|
I like how minimalistic the graphs look. Though, missing the pie chart.
I might just switch to this if I see that it's going somewhere ;)
But I'd say, that while the purpose is very similar - quick poll creation, our take on it is a bit different. tally creates a, possibly, fastest possible poll creation method. Ours includes some customisation (not in a design perspective, except for the poll design style); real-time results viewing (both admin and user end); image creation for embeding to sites, forums (that update automatically).
Blackberry went totally "hit or miss" with this one (I suspect the latter). Looking at it, personally, I feel disappointed that they sacrificed a full quality keyboard to use a bigger screen. From the main article image it is clearly seen that some of the physical controls (the caps button, punctuation symbols) are now actually not physical anymore. I don't really quite see the point in this since you'll still have them mostly anywhere (for what blackberry is used - various messaging) so why not make them physical? Blackberry is pretty used to making widthy (width > height) smartphones so why have they gone full 1:1 is strange to me.
Hopefully, a decent qwerty smartphone comes out some time until my Blackberry totally dies on me.
I would imagine it could only be used by people reading personal emails. But why would you speed read them?
Business emails might include lists, images, urls and this thing would break horribly.
In my opinion, emails by me are rarely read end to end (except for personal emails) and I usually just skim through them to get the general idea and then read on the specifics that I care about.
The project seems to be similar to http://earth.nullschool.net/ , which does offer a lot more functionality.
I would not want that on my live sites, heh.
EDIT: I would suspect, the site does not last long from the HN hug.
