figured··on How do you do in-company documentation (enterprise wiki)?
We use MediaWiki, it works for us just fine
figured··on Done, and Gets Things Smart
I always enjoy reading essays that make me feel unconformable, it usually means that the author is forcing me to think.
figured··on I quit my job today, oh boy
Finance and HR are seen as an integral part of the company, IT is seen as a vendor. It is very much and patron-client relationship, when it should be a partnership
figured··on Ask HN: Please critique my webapp
I couldn't agree more, I searched for "dog" and I had to scroll and scroll and scroll to get to my results.

Also, the line "Tags used to be all over the place", trips me up when I scan/read it.

figured··on Ask YC: CSS Frameworks
I found that YUI Grids CSS to be very easy to use and extremely robust. Honestly, the fact that they do graded browser support is the main reason I use them.
figured··on Can a Night Owl Become a Morning Person?
Throughout university you could not of convinced me that I would be a morning person. But once I got into the real world (aka corp gig) I realized that I was most productive in the early hours of the morning, my job required me to get up early. Now I have totally embraced the morning as my "getting stuff done" time. I have more energy and time, I won't be going back to the night owl lifestyle anytime soon.
figured··on Why we skip Photoshop
I enjoy using photoshop, it allows for you to easily switch up designs, a lot faster than handcoding. Plus if you using it with ImageReady to slice and dice it into HTML. You can't beat it for quick prototyping
figured··on Ask YC: How do you organize and manage your daily contents?
I use Google docs.

A separate doc for each idea and a master doc with each idea being a quick one line summary. It sounds like a lot of work about it allows you to quickly scan your ideas, looking for patterns or possible solutions to problems. And it really doesn't take that much maintenance
