femiagbabiaka··on When does MCP make sense vs CLI?
How do you segregate the CLI interface the LLM sees versus a human? For example if you’d like the LLM to only have access to read but not write data. One obvious fix is to put this at the authz layer. But it can be ergonomic to use MCP in this case.
femiagbabiaka··on Bus stop balancing is fast, cheap, and effective
I think I agree with you. Now the political will to make such a change on the other hand...
femiagbabiaka··on Bus stop balancing is fast, cheap, and effective
Bus only lanes exist, but not everywhere (some streets are not wide enough). Additionally, at the moment (and really always) there's a ton of construction on the bridges going in and out of the city, causing buses to miss out on the bus-only lanes for years or more at a time. Bus systems are a complicated beast.
femiagbabiaka··on Bus stop balancing is fast, cheap, and effective
Chicago has already done all of those things unfortunately (or fortunately).
femiagbabiaka··on Bus stop balancing is fast, cheap, and effective
The traffic downtown is really nuts now that the bridges are all shut down.
femiagbabiaka··on Ask HN: Have top AI research institutions just given up on the idea of safety?
The CEO of Anthropic is in the news for refusing to change their ToS to support the U.S military.
femiagbabiaka··on Google restricting Google AI Pro/Ultra subscribers for using OpenClaw
I'd assume API usage through tokens vs. OAuth are rate limited differently? I don't actually see hard numbers for Antigravity model rate limits on their website so guessing this is the case.

Blame xAI. It has to be worded in this way to capture the behavior they allowed to persist.

femiagbabiaka··on The only moat left is money?
I don't think it needs to be general to be scalable to the point that it causes previously safe industries to "race to the bottom"

Uber didn't need to launch in every neighborhood to start destroying the taxi business

Facebook didn't need to have every eyeball on the internet in order to massively disrupt trad advertising

At some point there's just a tipping point

femiagbabiaka··on The only moat left is money?
IMO literally automating the job isn't the only possible scenario -- already in the weightlifting space coaches are supplying skills and system prompts to llms that do their training for them, massively raising the number of students they can train at at time -- at some point that turns training into a zero sum game
femiagbabiaka··on The only moat left is money?
automation makes every job scalable, no?

femiagbabiaka··on Y Combinator CEO Garry Tan launches dark-money group to influence CA politics
> I believe this because it is his fundamental right as a citizen of the republic.

This is kind of exactly my point though. Citizen of what republic? Soros and Elon are both wealthier than most states and affect politics globally. They literally cannot be prosecuted, they are barely accountable to any legal bodies.

femiagbabiaka··on Y Combinator CEO Garry Tan launches dark-money group to influence CA politics
1. X is not, and has never been, "the press". 2. If you were to have categorized them this way previously, botting and pay-for-reach have made it definitely not that way now. 3. It is bad when any individual can shift the politics of the entire globe simply because they have enough money. Feel free to insert your most hated left-wing billionaire instead of Elon, I still believe the same thing.
femiagbabiaka··on Y Combinator CEO Garry Tan launches dark-money group to influence CA politics
I'm commenting on one such excess. Here is another: https://www.politico.com/news/2026/01/31/elon-musk-2026-elec.... The Nazification of X and federal subsidies for Elon's companies are another. There are many more examples.

s/relations/elections/ -- because Elon et. al don't just intervene in the elections of the country they live in, but actually any country he's interested in -- and uses the U.S. as a bludgeon in that effort, see U.S.-U.K. and U.S.-South Africa relations

femiagbabiaka··on Y Combinator CEO Garry Tan launches dark-money group to influence CA politics
This is an underrated point because the U.S. failure to rein in the excesses of the ultra-wealthy is not just impacting our domestic politics but actually the politics of every country on earth. Imagine if Jack Ma had eventually personally intervened in U.S. congressional elections? That's pretty much exactly what U.S. oligarchs do to other countries regularly.

There has been no point post Patriot Act where there has been accountability for data misuse. You need to update your priors.

I could buy a golden visa nearly anywhere. But adults have obligations, watching your president tear families apart should've made you realize that.
femiagbabiaka··on Scott Adams has died
The credibility of the claim is literally besides the point. It's about the information that was conveyed to contextualize the question in the survey! Does anyone have media literacy anymore?

femiagbabiaka··on Scott Adams has died
> Weird to read this assertion in a thread about Scott Adams, who literally had his whole career ended. That's literally the opposite of what you said.

Nah, he continued to grift off the right wing while saying more and more unhinged shit until he shuffled off this mortal coil.

> Also let's remember that he was cancelled for saying that if black people (poll respondents) say "it's not okay to be white" that's espousing hate and he wants nothing to do with them.

Could it perhaps have anything to do with the fact that that's a 4chan-originated dogwhistle that was hyper-viral at the time? Why do you think they were asking about it in the first place? It was in the context of the fact that the ADL had identified it as secret hate speech, in the same line of the 14 words.

> If white people said "it's not okay to be black," that's certainly white supremacy. But the rules are different.

The president of the most powerful country on earth and the richest man in the world say things like that all the time. Why the victim complex?
