fay59··on Total Cookie Protection
It sounds like you can design a login provider around that: direct to login site with a return address, confirm with user they want to log in, post back to return address with token that allows site to query login provider.

Choosing to be at the mercy of the people with the best opsec instead of the government sure is a take.

With “absolute free speech”, a couple of us could find your name and address, spread credible and damaging falsehoods about you, and there’s nothing you could do to stop us. And that’s not just in some online soapbox; we could call your employer, make police reports, put ads in newspapers, put posters on utility poles, tell your neighbours, tell the businesses that serve you, etc.
fay59··on OO in Python is mostly pointless

You can produce two signed binaries, one for <10.11 that is signed with a SHA-1 and one for newer systems that is signed with SHA-256. Your update framework would have to know which one to pull, but that seems surmountable.

Hacker News: implementing an incomplete subset of Web standards to focus on things that matter to everyone, like performance and privacy, is a great idea. Also Hacker News: fuck Safari.
fay59··on About the Rosetta Translation Environment
The original Rosetta couldn’t do it, or couldn’t do some part of it. I remember because Sixtyforce couldn’t run. I believe that it could have to do with self-modifying code.
