Founder of the Hype Machine (http://hypem.com), a music app launched in 2005 that keeps track of new music on the internet.
By the way, have you seen vhx.tv?
I am sure t61 team will fix the smaller issues around the design, but I think the new UI is likely here to stay.
Feel free to email me too, anthony at hypem.com
I think if you looked around in NYC, you'd likely find some of these people too. NY is somewhat better for music+tech than SF, though SF is lovely as always.
I remember finding this article back when I was researching music blogs before starting the Hype Machine (http://hypem.com) in 2005.

Can I somehow make more money with what I (we) am about to create and stay where I am (or US)?
Sure these places have cheap rent, but you also leave all your social ties behind and will be limited to a particular subset of the social fabric (expats, most likely, that either teach English or are avoiding something important by coming there). It's also distracting by being elsewhere, though often in a good way.
That one comes in a small binary file that allows to avoid even using a SQL DB for the lookups (faster for some people + easier to manage)
What is someone's incentive to publicly post a biz plan+idea in a blog comment over there? Apparently, a tiny amount of money and likely no other help from Mark, wow.
