Agree. JavaScript usage is growing by the day (nodejs, drones, IoT etc.)

Probably the biggest thing that ticks me off is hiring managers who don't even know what they are looking for and as a result 'shop' thru candidates essentially wasting your time. I've seen this before when I was rejected for a position, and it got filled only to be reposted after 3 months. Go figure!

this is an excellent book! also i would have to recommend How Google Works. its fairly new.

i agree, you hear a lot of buzzwords thrown around these days and then a few months later its fizzled down.

in my experience unless you are interviewing for a huge silicon valley company, most companies don't get into the nitty gritty of algos. and data structures. rather they will ask more fundamental front-end questions like 'what does this refer to in js' and 'what is prototypical inheritance' and might have you do a small project to showcase your skills.

i'd take it as a positive response since they want to talk to you again or if not you would have been outta the game. good luck on the next interview!
