From what I understand, almost all linux problems in this area are firmware/driver shortcoming. So, in theory, could the Framework laptop rival Apple?
They are built from the ground up to run Linux so I assume they have access to the firmware or at least can request features from vendors?
And of course there is quakeworld which is a complete fork with different net protocol, prediction, and commands. Example of new features is that skins can be downloaded on the fly, you no longer needed skinpacks.
Indeed. It could be a gap of my understanding but I believed that in pre-QuakeWorld there was no "coming back". How would a connect differ from a reconnect from a user experience perspective? Was it expected they keep their previous score/name?
You create a startup -> Do you need to do anything special with regard to the bank you chose?
I guess they buffer the compressed stream to RAM before writing to zip. If they want to keep their zip stable (always the same output given the same input), they also need to keep it a bit longer than necessary in RAM.
The best way to celebrate that kindness is to pass it down to people around you.
It worked until I started to store some boxes horizontally.
This is exactly what the IBM PS/1 2168 have (see the unboxing section).
I may encounter this situation some day. Could you share how you structured your fees (and give the hourly rate you charged them :P) ?
- Is it that they are not really interested in improving (no SWEs are on it).
- Is it that they are dealing with poor code that is very hard to fix?
- Is it the hardware that is designed in a way the drivers cannot be good?
It seems ADB is just sending more hardware. As far as I know the drivers are still lacking.
