exterm··on Opera Mail – standalone mail client
it should guess the details correctly after you entered your address.
exterm··on Opera Mail – standalone mail client
opera browser without e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/developer/next Not for linux yet, though.
exterm··on Opera Mail – standalone mail client
I like it a lot when someone involved with the project answers to "bug reports" or complaints like this. Gives me the feeling that they care. I see this a lot on hacker news and it always puts a smile on my face.
exterm··on Opera Mail – standalone mail client
Funny you mention it. Search in opera mail is excellent and extremely fast. It searches through all of my 12k mails in the blink of an eye.
exterm··on Opera Mail – standalone mail client
They are building a completely new browser based on chromium. So they didn't really strip it out, they just didn't add it to the new browser.
exterm··on Opera Mail – standalone mail client
I expect Linux and Mac versions to follow. They have released windows version first on new products in the past.
exterm··on Camino browser reaches its end
This is why opera is now using chromium.
exterm··on Opera 15 Preview for Windows and Mac with Chromium Engine Released
You can't install them from the chrome store, but if the developer uploads the to the opera add-on store you can install it.
exterm··on Opera 15 Preview for Windows and Mac with Chromium Engine Released
I think they have done a good job of making an opera-flavored chromium. It already feels like opera in many ways. Now all we need is some more features. I'm very excited for the next versions.
exterm··on Expunging Google
Personal account costs 4.95$ / year. What kind of premium account do you have to pay 50$ / month for?
exterm··on Show HN: Save Memory in Google Chrome
Edit: This is not meant to sound discouraging to the developer; I just suspect he solved the wrong problem.

I find it very strange that a tool exists to reduce chrome's memory footprint by closing tabs. This does not seem to be the right solution to any problem I can think of.

If memory consumption is what bugs you, maybe you should use a browser that consumes less memory per open tab.

If the number of open tabs is what bugs you, then you are probably using tabs as temporary bookmarks. There should be tools especially for this job. Some sort of "read-it-later" list comes to mind.

"one-tab" looks like some sort of read-it-later list that is labeled as a memory saver. Fascinating.

exterm··on Opera’s new Android beta is out, and it includes some pretty big changes
also not in as far as I can see. I hope that gets added again in the future, together with the reflow.
exterm··on Chrome for Android working on optimizing page rendering via SPDY proxy servers
Learn from the best - again, a leading browser vendor is adopting a feature pioneered by opera. I wonder whether there is any correlation with the demo of a new opera mobile version last week that is essentially chrome with turbo.
exterm··on HTML5 localStorage allows sites to fill up users' hard disks
you can use this as a reason for using opera, too.
exterm··on Webkit opera for android - First hands-on video
looking at the video, they good quite a lot of opera specific features in it though. Anyways, this is just a preview, the finished product could look different (and have different features).
exterm··on Webkit opera for android - First hands-on video
also, a short article at softonic: http://onsoftware.en.softonic.com/mwc-2013-opera-to-release-...
exterm··on A web-based "infinite desktop" multi-app UI
The name, "project mercury", might already be taken. Nonetheless, very interesting concepts.
exterm··on Show HN: My Weekend Hack - Stack-Ed: Learn from the best on StackOverflow
Same for me, arch linux and opera.
exterm··on Gas Powered Games bets the company on Kickstarter
I backed this project. I really think the concept is promising and it would be heart breaking to see this innovative company fall apart.

I can't see why this kickstarter gets so much less participation compared with the planetary annihilation one last year. They promoted it heavily, giving interviews to every gaming site there is.

I'm disappointed in the internet.

exterm··on The Kickstarter Game Successes: Where Are They Now?
More detailed progress updates for planetary annihilation are posted in their forums: http://forums.uberent.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=61 Look especially for post by project lead Jon Mavor aka neutrino
exterm··on XSS + "Save your password" = pwned
I agree. The demo doesn't read the password in opera because it is not filled in. Take that, chrome users.
exterm··on Myspace previews complete redesign
Actually that's quite easy in Opera. There is a dropdown box to select different user agents called "Browser Identification".
exterm··on Myspace previews complete redesign
I want to add the fact that it works just fine when spoofing the user agent. "Identify as Firefox" setting in Opera.
exterm··on Planetary Annihilation hits $900K goal with 16 days remaining
Finally a crowdfunded RTS game.

The fact that it's made by many of the guys involved with Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander gives me hope this will be a really deep, scalable and fun game.

Proud to be a supporter.

exterm··on The Open Web Needs You Now
Have you even read the linked article?

using -webkit- prefixes but not the -o- and -moz- counterparts is just very bad CSS and has nothing to do with slow update circles anywhere.

exterm··on JQuery Mobile 1.0
even if that was the case, this doesn't make sense. Write a script that adds -o-transform and -moz-transform after every -webkit-transform in your css and you have a good chance that it works.

Regarding mobile browser market share: It is a common misconception that mobile browsers not based on webkit have a negligible market share. Look at this. http://gs.statcounter.com/#mobile_browser-ww-monthly-201010-...

exterm··on JQuery Mobile 1.0
They say they're cross-browser, but their examples extensively use -webkit- css properties without the corresponding -moz-, -o- or the "vanilla" versions. None of the page transition examples work in opera.
exterm··on DuckDuckGo included in Opera
It's included in the list, not as default search provider.
exterm··on IQ scores in relation to web browser choice
Yeah, the "free IQ test" thing made me wonder too. I always thought that intelligent people would not be very likely to click on those ads.
exterm··on HN Points
Opera "extension" seems to install as a widget when it should be an extension... anyone else experiencing this problem?
