$0.20 per SMS with my ATT/iPhone contract.

When iOS 5 is released, I plan on keeping my current SMS plan for a month to measure how many text I send to non-iPhone users. I'll then downgrade my plan accordingly. My guess is that I'll end up cutting my plan entirely and just paying per text. The vase majority of the people I text with frequently are iPhone users.

It would be a great move by Apple to open the iMessage protocol so Android and other smart phone OS' could participate in the exchange. Unfortunately, my guess is that this won't happen as "free texts" represent a great benefit for switching to an iPhone and opening that network to other vendors would undercut their advantage.

Predication: ATT/Verizon drastically increases the cost of bandwidth on iPhone plans to make up for the cut. We'll see...

Any idea if it is possible to re-arrange the backlit keys on a MacBook Air? I used to use Dvorak before I switched to Macs with their pretty keyboards.

I recently had a new suit tailored and was surpised/amused to learn that my right arm is 1/4" longer than my left (this hasn't been the case when I've been measured in the past). My guess is that I was out of alignment from my habit of sitting slightly diagonal to my desk and reaching for my mouse with my right hand for much of the day.

I'm already much more of a keyboard guy than a "mouser" (as I'm sure most HNer's are) -- but I'm switching to a standing desk next week and correcting my bad habits. I'm to young for this!...

I had read awhile back that Unison does not preserve HFS+'s extended attributes. Has that changed in a recent version?

I combine "Tree Style Tabs" with the Tab Group[1] feature (added in FF4 I believe) instead of using a separate window for each class of tabs that I'm viewing. Those 2 combined with the "Pin as App Tab" option for Gmail and a couple of my control panels makes for a pretty efficient setup usability wise.

I really would love to see memory efficiency improve. I restarted FF yesterday and I'm already at 2.22 GB. It would be great to be able to set a ceiling on the amount of RAM FF is able to get its greedy little hands on. My iMac has 16GB, and I've seen FF reach half of that before when running a big Flash based web app with a hundred or so other tabs open. My little MacBook Air only has 4GB, so being able to tell FF to grab no more than 1GB or so would be fantastic!
