What scares me is that recruiters actually believe they can.
Chirac was a crook. I'm not glad he's dead, but I'm surely glad he left.
There are hundreds of videos released everyday of evident gratuitous police violence and misbehavior that is never investigated anyway.
He filled up pages after pages on how to balance one's practice and avoid pitfall like that. The guy is a bit controversial (which I personally embrace), but he sure wrote more than anyone else about all those issues and a lot more. As the subtitle indicates, it is quite the hardcore reference.
At virtually any level, performance is a function of one's physical condition and one's coordination. Even joggers will get better and more efficient at running simply by doing so repeatedly, regardless of their physical condition improvement (just like I get better at playing challenging video games, and it's not about the muscles in my thumbs). In other words, there are many non-physical factors to performance.
Visualization surely help to trains those. But yeah, not a superpower :(
Scary.
Fear, induced by having made that mistake and paying the price, or induced by elevating your voice, does seem to work, albeit imperfectly.
The asshole anesthetist denied it happened.
Universal predictability would definitely disprove free-will, but disproving universal predictability tells us nothing about free-will.

I simulated this myself on the HK tracks: if you bet randomly _and_ don't ignore track take, your expected return on the long run is precisely $BET - $TRACK_TAKE, which was about 80% in HK. ie: you lose 20% of your money on average on each bet.

As a native French speaker travelling in Montreal, I often found it easier to talk English with French speaking people, to my great shame.
I recall a simple transaction with a cashier in a supermarket, and having her repeat the simplest things (like "hello") a couple time because I had no idea what she was saying or if she even was speaking French, this was awfully embarrassing.
Although I agree, Parisians are asshole.
