That's what the Germans thought too.

“Drug misuse is not a disease, it is a decision, like the decision to step out in front of a moving car. You would call that not a disease but an error of judgment.” ― Philip K. Dick

Stan Meyer tech has been ready for mass production for well over a decade. But it can't be released until the death of the petro-dollar slavery system.

Energy == Money == Power and currently the MIC has most of it. Decentralized production of energy is their biggest threat.

eip··on Ask HN: Girlfriend is being shown ads depending on what we do together. How?
> they will show ads on her devices based on your behavior (and vice versa).

She went house hunting and watched kung fu movies. Has nothing to do with the partners behavior.

Most android (CIAlphabet) phones have CIABook installed by default and it cannot be turned off or deleted without root access. Both listen to microphone and probably take random photos. The phones are both linked to credit cards which are probably also linked to Netflix account.

Why are people still surprised by this?

eip··on Ask HN: Girlfriend is being shown ads depending on what we do together. How?
You are logged in to Android phones all the time. Not that it matters since they know who owns the phone.
eip··on Under military rule, Venezuela oil workers quit in a stampede
> I would be highly surprised if it wouldnt come to a famine

It already is. People aren't eating zoo animals for fun. They are eating them because they are hungry.

Which, in a country as green and lush as Venezuela, makes me wonder if the population is mildly retarded. You probably don't even have to try to grow food there. Just throw seeds on the ground.

eip··on Ketamine has 'fast-acting benefits' for depression
> the bad long term effects of drugs can be attributed to impurities, which there should be next to nothing off when you get it from a doctor.

Ketamine is sourced pretty much exclusively from pharmaceutical manufacturers and is medical grade.

eip··on Why doesn’t the IRS send me a tax bill based on the info they already have?
"A silent weapon system operates upon data obtained from a docile public by legal (but not always lawful) force. Much information is made available to silent weapon systems programmers through the Internal Revenue Service. (See Studies in the Structure of the American Economy for an I.R.S. source list.)

This information consists of the enforced delivery of well-organized data contained in federal and state tax forms, collected, assembled, and submitted by slave labor provided by taxpayers and employers.

Furthermore, the number of such forms submitted to the I.R.S. is a useful indicator of public consent, an important factor in strategic decision making. Other data sources are given in the Short List of Inputs.

Consent Coefficients - numerical feedback indicating victory status. Psychological basis: When the government is able to collect tax and seize private property without just compensation, it is an indication that the public is ripe for surrender and is consenting to enslavement and legal encroachment. A good and easily quantified indicator of harvest time is the number of public citizens who pay income tax despite an obvious lack of reciprocal or honest service from the government."

Keen just stores blobs in Cassandra and does aggregation at query time. I can't imagine it would scale far enough to be useful in this situation.

Unless that $150K included tons of RSUs you would still be better off taking the lower pay and not paying the Bay tax.

If you are not looking in the Bay then you will probably still come out ahead by not spending 2 hours a day commuting.

$75/hr * 2 hours/day * 262 workdays/year = $39K/yr lost commuting. Not including the actual costs of commuting (car, gas, tires, parking, sanity).

So outside the Bay it works out about the same assuming you don't generate any additional revenue in the two hours you would have spent commuting.

eip··on Ask HN: How well does unlimited holiday allowance work in practice?
If I had unlimited vacation I would pretty much just do 4 day work weeks.

eip··on Tesla is just months from a total collapse, says hedge-fund manager
>I was referring to Modern Apple, post-2016 Apple

The difference is Apple prints money. And Foxconn is arguably the best there has ever been when it comes to manufacturing.

Tesla burns money.

The only similarity is their cult leaders.

eip··on Tesla is just months from a total collapse, says hedge-fund manager
> Tesla on the other hand is more of a gamble, who could end up being extremely big

They would have to get 60X bigger in terms of output to get where Ford already is and has been for a long time.

eip··on BMW says electric car mass production not viable until 2020
> I was talking about safety and locality of generating hydrogen fuel

Hydrogen can be produced on demand from water in a vehicle.

> So you are saying that the reason we can't have hydrogen safely generated in pumping stations is because Toyota has some sort of patent or other rights that restrict its use?

No. I am saying that any attempt to sell technology that would allow decentralized energy production is considered a threat to the stability of the international monetary (petro dollar / slavery) system and will be treated accordingly.

> How is Toyota benefiting from oil over hydrogen fuel cell?

They are not. But if they try to sell their water fuel tech their executives will be killed and their factories will be bombed to dust.

eip··on BMW says electric car mass production not viable until 2020
> If humans develop technology that allows hydrogen fuel to be safely generated at the pumping station

The technology to produce hydrogen from water at efficiencies far exceeding Faraday has been known since the 1970s. It was perfected in the 1990s. Toyota has been sitting on it for two decades. That's why they are still leaning towards fuel cells.

Permanent batteries were also developed in the 1970s. They are currently in use by the military.

The problem isn't technology and hasn't been for a long time.

The problem is the international slavery system runs on oil and will for the foreseeable future.

eip··on A majority of auto executives still think battery electric cars will fail
If Toyota releases their Stan Meyer tech than fuel cells will most likely win. The only way to compete with that would be to release permanent batteries.

eip··on Ask HN: Do You Consider Remote a Working Perk?
