eam··on Google Images Instant (inspired by Youtube Instant)
Unlike your Map Instant, this one seems more usable and practical to me. Good job. :)
eam··on Archaeologists discover 3,500-year-old settlement in Egyptian desert
Works fine for me; I'm in the US.
eam··on Facebook acquires Hot Potato
Congratulations!

>"Facebook is still small"

Is that an understatement?

eam··on Ask HN: Rate my first webapp, tudu.us
Clickable: http://tudu.us/

By the way, my McAfee SiteAdvisor goes red when visiting your site.

eam··on [dead]
Is this a joke?
eam··on Ask HN: Feedback on Mixest, my HTML5 ironic indie Pandora
Just tried it on my iPhone. It works pretty awesomely!
eam··on Facebook Adds Face Detection To Photos
I believe even Picasa has this feature.
eam··on Ask HN: What kind of advertising have you tried that worked?
You might want to read Gabriel Weinberg's blog post on what worked for him. URL: http://www.gabrielweinberg.com/blog/2010/03/my-duck-duck-go-...
eam··on Microsoft by the Numbers
Microsoft is a great company, I don't know why a lot of people dislike them. Look at their track record, look at the numbers they're impressive. Perhaps it's jealousy, who knows? Sure they have done several mistakes along the way ahem ie6... But you know what, at the end what matter is the profits. I don't know why people bash on them for their closed source technologies. They're here to make money, if they wanted to give away everything they would have been a charity not a business! You might as well go bash on coke, their ingredients are "closed source." In order for a taco truck to make money they got to sell their tacos, can't give them away now can they? In a nutshell all you who hate Microsoft, find a better reason to hate them. You can't say ie9, because it's beginning to look like it'll be an awesome browser for users and developers alike. End rant. Sorry if this is a little off topic. :)
eam··on Ask HN: log on, drop out?
Anywhere in central California (the central valley to be more specific) is cheap to live compared to SF. For example Madera, Fresno, or even Clovis you can rent a decent looking 3 bedroom house with yard for about $1000/month. However, these cities are mostly agricultural and do lack the "techy" feeling you'll find in bigger cities like SF or even LA. The summers are quite humid and hot, but it's nice that it only takes about 1.5 hours to drive up to Yosemite National Park.

Clovis, CA has a population of about 100k. Recently it has been trying to bring the technology atmosphere, for example a couple of days of go we had 59daysofcode conference (http://59daysofcode.com/). Quite exciting!

eam··on Michael Hartl announces the Rails Tutorial Vanguard
I really loved the tutorials, learned a lot. However, I'm not rich enough to pay $495 :( Maybe if it was a little less I would pay for it. Yeah I know he has to pay his bills, but so do I. :(
eam··on How to take a screenshot
This is what I call a handy-dandy screenshot.

Often I find myself using it as a "cropping tool." For example, if I save some image from the web and I want to only save a certain part of the entire image, I just zoom into whatever area I want and take a screen shot and voila I have a cropped image. ;)

eam··on Student fined for bringing university into disrepute with FitFinder site

Not mine. :)
eam··on Diaspora website redesign, now with more info about the project
Especially in the navigation area.
eam··on Ask HN: What's missing in a CS degree?
Hmmm... I think "up-to-date" professors. I've had professors who've been teaching for decades and they're still stuck in the decade they started teaching. In some instances it's ok, but in other instances it's just obsolete and new methods to approach a certain problem have been developed since then, which they are unaware of.

And then Jobs "liked" Adobe Flash, and that too got leaked.
eam··on [dead]
Damn! All this time I've been charging $20/hr, and I thought/felt I was overcharging. Where are you located? I'm sure cost of living is a factor. I live in central California and $20 has been okay, but I might reconsider my per hour rate. Nonetheless, nice designs. :)

EDIT: gansonproperties.com (in progress) hubblet.com (my pet project) watchdoit.com

I have more, if interested just shoot me an email.

eam··on Match.com no longer top dating site, sends in the lawyers
Exactly! Now, will history repeat itself? Will Match try to acquire PlentyOfFish?
eam··on Posterous: The next "big" thing?
I don't think it's "better" per se but rather more tailored toward a different group of people. Each one has their pros.
eam··on How to permanently delete Facebook account
Doesn't myspace do this?
eam··on How to permanently delete Facebook account
Just throw in a couple of 'Are you sure you want proceed?' confirmation messages and it's set.
eam··on How to permanently delete Facebook account
Method number 3: Violate Facebook's TOS. One instance would be to upload a nude photo of someone or for the brave souls, one of yourself.
eam··on Did rubyonrails.org get hijacked?
I know that feeling. :(
eam··on Mark Zuckerberg’s Design Skills, Circa 2001
That's for sure. It reminds me when I did my first website on Angelfire (which coincidentally was also at age 16). At the time I thought it was the best thing I've ever made, now I look back and realize how hideous it is. I'm feeling nostalgic. :(
