dunekid··on Even The Pentagon can't freeze Huawei out of its operations
>Iraq war and now even the Israel war to make parallels

Well the West could simply stop the Genocide today and prove them wrong. If they think they have the moral high ground, they could repeal the Hague Invasion act. Throw in Bush and Blair and others for war crime trial. It is absolutely marvellous to think that the West which plundered millions in the last two decades has any more decency than Putin. Not that Putin is benign, but the West collectively have more capability and have used it as far as they can.

dunekid··on How many young people deny the Holocaust?
There were 2 aids. Only one is fattening. That one is fattening the Israel US military infrastructure.
dunekid··on How many young people deny the Holocaust?
>Israel government, military, and social policy is borderline genocidal, or at the very least a strong example of apartheid.

By the time it is recognised for being completely genocidal the damage done would be scarily irreversible.

dunekid··on [dead]
>In one remarkable part of the account, Lt. Col. E. describes firing upon an ambulance on the Gaza side of the border, admitting that they were not entirely sure whether the wounded person being carried to it was a hostage or a militant.

Sums up the strategy of the genocidal forces. Just kill them, no consequences to follow or any questions asked.

Not sure if you have seen it already : https://youtu.be/uvU5dmu4sl8?si=cCQ7ZOriFp4rdmQM. As much as I love architecture and design, this take is pretty funny and relatable to many BS architecture.

Same as USA in Iraq, Afghanistan? Vietnam? Israel? No. They are not in the category of western empires who could kill and maime civilian population and get away with moral superiority. These people are bad, unlike the western empires.
dunekid··on [dead]
Sorry, there was no nuance. It's painting Israel as successful, but not explaining the atrocities and war crimes it did before and after its establishment. It is creating a self serving and hollow set of principles to deny the Palestinian cause. Another reason to oppress Palestinians, another strawman disguised as morality to deny freedom.
dunekid··on DARPA Shows Concepts for the Future of VTOL Uncrewed Aerial Systems
The Imperial Japan surrendered before US forces with the hope that they could continue administering their country, but stop the offensive war as part of the axis powers. Vietnamese were fighting against occupation and, if they surrender they could not live in and administer their own native land. The difference is glaring.
dunekid··on Banana giant Chiquita held liable by US court for funding paramilitaries
>At best, they're idiotically-attempted coups.

I am tempted to add an image of Jack Sparrow saying, But you've heard of me.

That aside, US would not fall for a coup because of the strong institutions in place. But these places are not that mature in its institutions. So they would fall. It doesn't mean that a similar sentiment is not present in US. And for all the talk of the freedom and democracy US always prefers demagogues and dictators in other parts of the world, as long as US can control them.

The Capitol insurgency and the stop the steal was pretty popular, but it is not a reason for another country to lie and invade this place. Same should have been applied to Iraq. That's all.

>if there is no critique of the founding of Jordan, which was given as a gift by the British to the Hashemites for helping them during the Arab revolt, then I think this is a problem.

That can also be criticised. Although what is tend to get lost in these type of arguments is that, it is entirely different to give assistance in ruling a patch of land versus literally displacing people from their land and homes and imposing military control over them.

dunekid··on Super Heavy has splashed down in The Gulf of Mexico
You have added a long list. Yet it would be worth noting that, Afghanistan didn't really work very well, in that the said government just waited for the occupation to leave. ISIS didn't have any civilian leadership/structure in the first place, that can be asked by a civilian population to stop. Yemen is still controlled by Houthis and the less said about the bombing the better.

>Yet another by the way is that it's worth mentioning Egypt refused to let aid through the Rafah border crossing once Israel took the Palestinian side of it just because it refused to deal with Israel on this matter.

Has the current Regime cooperated with any country or organisation in a truthful and transparent manner? Besides Gaza is on the Mediterranean coast, with a port that is much older than the State of Israel. It didn't need anyone else's support, if there was not a complete blockade for two decades. Even in raging war, humanitarian assistance has been delivered in geographical points that are hard to reach.

dunekid··on Noam Chomsky 'no longer able to talk' after 'medical event'
Please do mention about the complete sea, air, and land blockade of Gaza, when you do that. You can mention the raid on Gaza freedom flotilla as well.

While Israel supposedly disengaged from Gaza, it had conducted similar attacks with hundreds of human casualties under the pretense of operational readiness, training, and the notorious mowing the lawn operations. Of course some of them were so called retribution and responses, which mostly begins by rockets on Israel soil, but not by the brutal oppression it administers to Gazans.

dunekid··on Israel reportedly used fake social accounts to garner support from US lawmakers
I would just note here that Israel being a safe space after Holocaust is not in line with history. I am not denying that it had some aspects of being a safe space, but the project Israel started much before Holocaust, and Balfour declaration predates Holocaust by decades.

Again, I agree that there can be an argument that Holocaust was a culminating event of the antisemitism in Europe. But i never felt that the antisemitism in the west makes Israel a safe space, is not very congruent one when the both West and Israel touts a shared set of Western values. It is even more surprising since the current conservatives call Western values as Judeo Christian. I would make it clear that people feeling being alienated even in presence of such values is understandable. But the events of establishing Israel, and the continued invasions of neighbouring countries, and the sheer atrocities committed in the process makes no sense to me. Not to say the constant attempts to portray people who have been living there as usurpers, harbouring Zionist Terrorists, are not the actions of some who seeks a safe space.

dunekid··on Israel reportedly used fake social accounts to garner support from US lawmakers
>Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin condemned the attack, describing Goldstein as a "degenerate murderer" and "a shame on Zionism and an embarrassment to Judaism" - which is important.

Agree that it is important. What is even more strange is that Yitzhak Rabin himself was assassinated by a Zionist Terrorist. There were many deals and processes and talks, Almost all of them put Israel front and centre, even Oslo accords for instance. But as claimed by Bibi, Zionist Terrorists tried everything to thwart it. And conveniently placed the blame on Palestinians. It was Zionist Terrorists who brought terrorism as we know today to the middle east. It was them who killed in cold blood, the mediator who presented the plan, Count Folke Bernadotte. But all the blame is on Palestinians, while the Terrorists derailed any hope for peaceful coexistence, and continue to do so.

dunekid··on Israel reportedly used fake social accounts to garner support from US lawmakers
Why would you say that Israel is a safe space, while Canada is/might not?
dunekid··on Israel reportedly used fake social accounts to garner support from US lawmakers
>Famously the ex-Israeli Prime Minister Barak said that if he were a Palestinian he might have become a terrorist himself. I wonder how do someone tells something and not think it through? Can you get the the full statement by Barak on this? He says why he would choose to fight. He clearly understood that for Palestinians, no other venue to raise against the brutal oppression exist. If that doesn't make you understand, I don't know what will. The irreversible damage that tye state of Israel has done had made it so. And it continues to do so, and finds new ways to make the lives of Palestinians literal hell.

>Plenty of right wing nazis everywhere in the world.

Yes plenty do. But not many examples where they are armed to the teeth, has a façade of democracy, has the liberty to label the other as human animals, and has practically a free hand in killing the other. Not many the so called neo nazis have that sort of institutionalised power. There are not many examples of this level of apartheid. Not many places where a settler could shoot and kill children and can get away with it.

>We would basically see women and children sat on the side of the road with their belongings packed up neatly beside them, mattresses, bags of flour, jerry cans, book, clothes.

I can see that people in the west would get more sympathy and concern for a cyclone than the Orientals literally living through genocide, despair and hopelessness. I wish none of us had to ever experience this chilling reality. And to add grave insult to this, these people are labelled as Terrorists, and killed and maimed and looted by calling them animals.

>diplomatic pressure put on Israel to allow aid into Gaza appeared to have dissipated

Yes, normalise genocide and war crimes for 7 decades in the name of a catch-22 strategy you get this. A free hand to a genocidal regime to kill and discriminate people, and harbour Terrorists.

Hey there! I'm really sorry if that came as snarky, but didn't mean that way. But you have to see that most of the comments are just plain disinformation and just could not let them hang in a no-way-out situation. I hope there would be a way out, without harming the people born into it. But I believe that has to come without this overpowering and dehumanising by those who definitely have the upper hand. This place does have all it takes to be a unifying idea for the vast majority of the world, and I sincerely hope peace prevails. You have a nice day too!

> Override the will of Palestinian elections and you're denying them their sovereignty, interfere with the obvious military threat, and you're doing apartheid.

So it is decided that it will do both. Maybe, just maybe, reconcile? No. Acknowledge the right to return and pay reparations? No. We will run apartheid and blockade sea, air and land. And the Egypt border will be controlled by way of a trilateral treaty. Increase illegal and immoral settlements in West Bank? Yes. Shield and promote settler terrorism? Yes.

dunekid··on ICC prosecutor seeks arrest warrants against Sinwar and Netanyahu for war crimes
Well the Israel does have a history of door to door killings, please reference the 1948 Nakba massacres and Deir Yassin atrocities. IDF used Palestinians as literal human shield. No amount of whataboutery could erase the horrors IDF has committed in Gaza. Have you seen the videos IDF personnel posted themselves, looting homes, bombing any stone that is standing? Digging graves on cemetery? Mass graves around Al Shifa?
dunekid··on ICC prosecutor seeks arrest warrants against Sinwar and Netanyahu for war crimes
You could look at West Bank and arrive at a conclusion that laying down arms did not end the occupation, not the colonisation. Neither the different rules for Palestininas and Israelis.
dunekid··on ICC prosecutor seeks arrest warrants against Sinwar and Netanyahu for war crimes
>But people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank have no way to become Israeli citizens (unless they are Jewish) >That is clearly undemocratic

Not only undemocratic, but it is running an apartheid. Not to mention the complete denial of right to return for displaced Palestinians, not even acknowledging it.

Really? The entire point of the Aliyah for return to Israel is that they lost against Romans, and they expelled them. Or is it selective injustice to the Palestinians?

Huh, I almost forgot there were massive protests against the current PM when he set out to cripple the ability of the said Judiciary from trying him in court. But go on.
