i just hope that we advance so far in this field , so that eventually we have robots the exclusively fight and destroy other robots, the hope being that human casualties and destruction of human infrastructure is completely removed. Perhaps one day, we'll take robots out of the picture and fight wars virtually altogether!
yes because shit happens to be something that would occur naturally in that environment, whereas isolating some of the things that are in shit and spraying it on a field (chemical fertilizers) actually do harm in the long run.
the environment is a holistic function of living symbiotic relationships. Isolating an enzyme and spraying it on a field is about as environmentally friendly as covering a field in pus and saying its ok because it comes from nature.
the last paragraph is the most depressing part, just as weve found a sustainable ecological solution to problem of plastic, we learn that someone has commoditized it into a chemical solution, which no doubt has the accompanying legal patent absurdities, few if any positive environmental interactions and actually endangers a very special species due to corporate anti competative behaviour.
Irony anyone?
A lot of the pro copyright guys dont know what the purpose of copyright IS. So before you argue please research what you are arguing in favour of. In short copyright originated with the statute of Anne 1709 to protect authors from the publishers profiting from their work, the statute main purpose was to promote learning by allowing creators to recoup the expensive cost of publishing a) the publishers are now ripping off creators, b) publishing is not longer expensive c) placing easily accessible SCIENCE papers under DRM prohibits learning
its nice but the issue for me is that it will be backwards compatible so the preJRE7 way of managing IO resources is also included , this means an even more bloated java api :-(
making a contract is fine but how can you enforce effectivly against someone who breaches the contract, imho a effective system would be able to produce initial drafts of litigation documents based on the contractual clauses breached, otherwise people will just break the contracts willy-nilly and you'll be forced to enter litigation yourself, or take your computer generated documents to a lawyer
this is really encouraging. The image of African people usually vastly misrepresents their true potential. Great to see some positive news that casts some true light on the immense talents of these gifted people.
its not burn out, if you still like developing, your subconscious has just realised before you have that you are wasting your time. Burnout is when you cant do fruitful things, and the remedy is simple. Step away from the computer, eat well get some fresh air and plenty of sleep. Works every time ;-)
I think the author is actually wrong on this algo trading is defined as programs taking the decision, how fast this happens determines whether it is high frequency. Computer aided execution is called smart order routing..... just saying :)
money is no longer necessary, our current economic systems dont work and do not reflect the abundance we create. I propose that everything is made free instead, everyone just take as much as they need.
well its got to go in somehow, perhaps a facade that exposes only preparedstatements procs could have prevented this, but equally perhaps they exploited the facade, the transport mechanism to the facade, the db driver..... who knows, what is known is that theres a path, however narrow
