Edit: well, I'm low on coffee today. Just press Alt key to show the menu! Not a nylas problem :)
I understand Apple's rationale: touch bar = dynamic function keys but, why not keep the physical function and esc keys and add the touch bar on top of that?

I cannot wear the Apple earphones because they don't fit firmly: they're moving constantly (which generates noise that I hear) AND they tend to fall from my ears, even just sitting down in my computer and moving my head slightly.
I would love to get rid of the cables, but airpods would be even a bigger problem, because at least with the cord they won't hit the floor.
I usually employ in-ear earphones, which come in different sizes and that resolves my problem.
TL;DR: it's not only sports/exercise, there's people with smaller ears :)
I also do agree that FB here is somehow taking advantage of said laws to send to /dev/null the extension that renders one of their revenue streams ineffective.
I'm no expert in US trademark laws by any means, maybe they're entitled to leverage it for these kind of cases.
I agree that the developer should have guessed that by himself, but the real issue here I believe is the lack of any useful response, the automatic takedown of the extension and no way to get any response after "expending" the apparent "two tries" that you get from Google when something like this happens.
But what the author refers to is completely another issue: the complete lack of support from Google. The extension author complied with the request. Tried to contact several times an only got canned responses. I guess Google doesn't care much about people that develop for their platform. At least that's what I got from the blog post. Therefore, author's conclusion about developing for that platform seens right.

I should note that this JDK 8 migration is for EAP releases (ie early alpha/beta versions of the next major release) and that all installers (windows, osx and linux) offered by Jetbrains come with its own JDK bundled in the installer. So if you happen to work in one of those corporate environments, if you manage to get permission to run this IDEA version, you also get the required JRE to execute the ide included.
