don't blame the system for having massive, glaring flaws!

or... do, do that

THE SOLUTION IS TO REGULATE, except that capitalists use their enormous wealth to lobby against any and all effective regulation, but that's not capitalism's fault lolz

djillionsmix··on Why Do Teachers Quit?
Somehow nobody ever says that people who love investment banking or running a multinational corporation should do that for peanuts.
djillionsmix··on Young adults hardly ever walk, 'because of technology'
It's because old people built a nation of shitty unwalkable suburbs, then blamed the consequences of their fuckups on their kids.

>There is a vast difference between someone who cares about doing their job well and someone who does their job. And 'cultural fit' will be used to describe that.

There is so little of a difference between those sorts of person that they are frequently the exact same person except on different days or in different working environments.

djillionsmix··on Open plan offices attract highest levels of worker dissatisfaction
It was trendy to take your laptop to Starbucks because the people at Starbucks aren't your coworkers and aren't going to yank you out of whatever you're doing to spend 20 minutes telling you to do the thing you would have been done with 20 minutes ago if they hadn't yanked you out of doing it.

Wife nothing, try doing it to the exact same mentor who felt entitled to do it to you.

If my experience / observation is any guide, the result is utterly epic shitfit.

He should talk to those guys who wrote about advertising their food delivery service on pornsites
djillionsmix··on iOS 7, thoroughly reviewed
I agree, the humanist touches and concordantly superior identifiability in the one OS clearly identify it as the modern iteration compared with the cold, chilly 70s-style pseudo-futurism of the other.
djillionsmix··on Pushed to the limit as a banking intern
Instead of rationalizing unnecessarily poor behavior, why don't you try not rationalizing unnecessarily poor behavior? It might turn out to be something you enjoy not doing.
djillionsmix··on Pushed to the limit as a banking intern
>but they'd take longer.

They would take less time because people involved would be getting adequate amounts of sleep and as a result would be able to function normally.

People who insist that other people work absurdly late hours are demonstrably not interested in efficiency or thoroughness and are actually interested in making themselves feel powerful and important by forcing other people to adhere to irrational standards.

Well that was an uninspired display of passive-aggressive ad hominem and cliche.

>perhaps you'd like to rethink them and offer me an apology?

I'd definitely like to offer you the advice to never indulge in this sort of passive-aggression, it's very unprofessional and should make anyone think twice about working with you.

Someone always types up this same response to any incident like this, and it always sounds like exactly what I'd expect to hear from the sort of person who stiffs people.
