djfm··on Microsoft Launches Visual Studio Code, a Free Cross-Platform Code Editor
Very cool editor but be warned the download archive is a zipbomb (no root directory).
djfm··on Xmonad – A dynamically tiling X11 window manager
I've been using Xmonad for such a long time I can barely use a non-tiling WM properly now. Makes me look like a fool on almost anybody else's computer.

But perhaps the greatest thing about Xmonad is that it can lead you to Haskell and to functional programming in general, and I think this is one of the most useful and beautiful discoveries a developer can make. Your Javascript or your PHP will get better just by looking at some Haskell :)

Probably an advantage of having your config itself written in Haskell: if it compiles, it is very likely to work as expected :)
djfm··on How I cracked NQ Vault's “encryption”
Wouldn't say the original comment was so useless (even being from just one reader) after all: see the conversion thread it spawned!

That being said I don't care about this JS issue.

djfm··on The habits of practically unhackable people
Is there any advantage in using a password manager over authenticating with e.g. your google account through OpenID?

I usually use my google account to login to websites I care about (most sensitive websites I know provide this facility) and moderately strong but easy to remember passwords for non-critical websites that don't provide OpenID (e.g. a forum I never consult).

Of course I have 2FA on the google account and I feel rather safe.

Should I be worried?

djfm··on Solving the Go Challenge 1 in Erlang
I think I just fell in love with Erlang.

Why would you want to combine JS files from the back-end?
