Check mosh! It's an amazing tool for that lag
diegorbaquero··on Twitter allegedly deleting negative tweets about United Airlines incident
My tweet got "re-accommodated" , just confirmed. What's going on???
diegorbaquero··on Ask HN: What are you working on?
Working on a realtime library to share state and events in the most simple way ever, using pure JS. This is all thanks to ES6 Proxy. socket.io with no servers, firebase with no config, cloud persisted variables for free: https://github.com/DiegoRBaquero/V

I don't see this story going anywhere positive for Garadget. Blocking functionality because of a bad review? This will backfire horribly.

Although I believe it is a great add-on to have, I believe it would create bias.

The games awesome. Capitalism: "You can't afford the apple". Excellent. I didn't like the auto mail.

Great read! I've always wanted to start one too. How did you go about the addressing? Did you purchase IP blocks from Zayo? If you could go technical it would be great.

Not in Mac :/
diegorbaquero··on Ask HN: Best Node.js static blog generator?
I want to be able to understand and modify if needed. Although I do program in other languages, I want to focus in NodeJS for now.
diegorbaquero··on Ask HN: Best Node.js static blog generator?
Nice site! Has really helped me know what the "market" looks like. Thanks for sharing

uWS certainly reduces the overhead to a minimum, saving lots of memory that can be used to scale up and saving CPU left to your app's code. I wrote this article a few months ago when I switched to uws in the WebTorrent tracker. https://hackernoon.com/%C2%B5ws-as-your-next-websocket-libra...

diegorbaquero··on Why is my NTP server costing $500 per year? Part 1 (2014)
They include 1TB BW in the $5 instance, that's $90 savings.
diegorbaquero··on The Reality of Developer Burnout
It is starts psychologically, but psychological problems can then turn into physical illnesses. A burnout can be stressful and slowly consume you life away with stress and anxiety until you hit rock bottom.

But seriously, what?

diegorbaquero··on Amazon LightSail: Simple Virtual Private Servers on AWS
Exactly my thoughts. EC2 is stupid expensive in BW. If you are spending a lot just setup some reverse proxy :)

LowEndBox and LowEndTalk are awesome, been following for years. CyberMonday got me KVM with 8GB RAM for $10.
diegorbaquero··on Immutable.js: An Introduction with examples written for humans
Great article. I wonder what the performance implications would be vs using, for example, native (mutable) arrays. Such addition of analysis to the article would've made it just perfect.

@alexhayes it is a common color palette, I was going to link the most common place where I find it but I forgot about it, haha.

diegorbaquero··on Immutable.js: An Introduction with examples written for humans
Care to explain why? Are you saying that immutable app states such as React/Redux shouldn't exist either? No wonder you got downvoted, just giving rants without proper arguments.
diegorbaquero··on WikipediaP2P
There's a BEP (46 iirc) proposed for that :)
diegorbaquero··on Why you should never use Socket.IO
I'm the one proposing the switch in WebTorrent, you can read about the decision here: https://medium.com/@diegorbaquero/%C2%B5ws-as-your-next-webs...

I use it in production (BTorrent tracker) with 700-1300 peers active 24/7. 50MB or less RAM usage.
