Check out the NS8 story. They were audited by one of the big firms and still passed and got funding when it was a fraud. Lightspeed was the lead VC. Maybe they are moving a little too fast.
I was a founder of a VTF (downtown project VC) funded company. We had an exit. I can’t vouch for the rest of the companies but hard drinking wasn’t part of our culture. Careful painting all of us with that brush. I was around for the first Vegas Jelly, and was funded in 2012 so I would be part of the “surge” you defined.
By learning about EQ. I recommend picking up the book “Emotional Intelligence 2.0,” taking the assessment, read it, and focus on areas you can improve. Then revisit and practice the tips over the next 3 months (their timeline) and reassess. It is ongoing after that but it is a good starting point with actionable tips.

The only source I have is a call with them when they told us they could do this. Down vote me all you like, I was shocked when I heard this as well. They suggested this to us, not something we would have ever asked for. Nobody else has ever had this experience?
They don't appear to be scanned for Ads, but talk with the Google Marketing team and they will be able to tell you what domains are sending to your competitors if they use Google Apps.
