Oh, I'm well aware of Delphi's continued existence. I'm maintaining a 15-year-old Delphi project right now.

I should be clear that I like Object Pascal. I just dislike the degree to which Delphi insists on holding your hand, and I hate the absurdly bloated code base for which that behavior is at least partly to blame.

I have actual nightmares about developing in Delphi. I can't believe there's a Delphi project that people speak this highly of.

I'm always shocked by how much damage a single sociopath can do.

In what sense is it "a sad commentary on humanity?"

This would only work for a very small subset of card tricks.

It would be difficult to practice sleight of hand.

It certainly stands to reason that diminishing the ability of the tobacco companies to deceive the public about the health risks associated with tobacco cigarettes would similarly diminish demand.

Conversely, the trend with cannabis seems to be that the more the public learns about its effects on human health, the more use rises.

Going public is often the turning point where a 'Good Company' starts to become a 'Bad Company'. It becomes no longer good enough to make a good product.

Putting personal/national pride ahead of the health and safety of your citizens is certainly immoral.
