delta1··on Netflix Is Ruining Your Life
There's no confusion that netflix == television, and also no confusion in the tone of your "article"
delta1··on Netflix Is Ruining Your Life
Why the focus on Netflix? Just because it's popular right now?

This blog post honestly just comes across as "I'm better than you because I claim to use my time more productively, and I'm telling you how to live your life."

Speaking of a waste of time, I'd like my 5 minutes back after reading that.

delta1··on Introduction and Quick Guide to GraphQL for BackEnd and FrontEnd
These guides always ignore authentication/authorization. Is there a standard pattern or way to do these when using GraphQL?

Edit: a quick search for apollo graphql auth turns this up for reading https://www.apollographql.com/docs/react/recipes/authenticat...

This made me so nervous on his behalf

delta1··on Netflix tweet raises privacy questions
> "you do <X>, who hurt you?"

It's a meme format, Netflix is just trying to be edgy/cool here, trying to fit in with the "fellow kids" [1]

delta1··on Fast software is a discipline, not a purpose
You're conflating management and priority issues with programming issues.
delta1··on Fast software is a discipline, not a purpose
1. Make it work

2. Make it right

3. Make it fast

"Programmers waste enormous amounts of time thinking about, or worrying about, the speed of noncritical parts of their programs, and these attempts at efficiency actually have a strong negative impact when debugging and maintenance are considered. We should forget about small efficiencies, say about 97% of the time: premature optimization is the root of all evil. Yet we should not pass up our opportunities in that critical 3%." - Donald Knuth

delta1··on Sick of Ruby, dynamic typing, side effects, and object-orientation (2014)
I have no links to share, but it seems obvious that a dynamically typed language will need tests to ensure that a function "behaves" correctly given incorrect types, where the statically typed language will not even allow you to run that code.
