Maybe I'm missing something, but is the following valid?

    #!/usr/bin/python2
    print open(__file__).read()
    # do other stuff as well

That is, why not just print the source file, rather than store the code within itself?

While the author may be making a good point, I couldn't understand it as presented. Instead of reading an interesting article, I stared at small screens of half sentences, tables, and pictures, with very little explanation. Slides without a narrator are a poor way to communicate.

On the other hand, college could be pretty useful if you aren't already selling startups in high school...
