They're essentially saying "hey, here are some words we made up, now trust us, it works!" without delving into any real detail with examples.
Chrome Windows Version 35.0.1916.153
I then hit F5 and it told me I was in Germany.
For example, if you enter "'/> Hellooooo!" into your textarea, you can see the result shows the text "Helloooo!'/>" being shown next to the QR code for "'/>".
This is hugely important when writing web applications - you can read a bit more from this stack overflow question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2794137/sanitizing-user-i...

EDIT: I realise this was just a small, simple, learning project, but it's important to learn and be mindful of these considerations.
You make out as if the gifts outlined here (e.g. Arduino, Lego Technic, etc) are going to strip him of his childhood. I'd argue they'd improve creativity and give a sense of accomplishment ("hey, I made that!!").
Why?
Outside of London (as I'm sure you're aware), this could be offered as a senior developer salary.
Anybody saying otherwise has been reading too many tabloids.
You can find out more details about salaries in this area by using a site like glassdoor.com. This 100%+ bonus culture is simply not true (now).
This isn't because there aren't enough kids interested, it's because very few schools offer the course.
So why aren't schools offering a Computing GCSE? My speculation is that it's still pretty new and the prospect of re-training teachers into being able to teach this stuff outweighs the number of kids that would pick the subject.
Right now, by not offering this in more of our schools, we are actively discouraging any kids who do have a genuine interest in development and design because we're locking them into learning how to make elements on powerpoint slides animate successfully, instead of the creative development encouragement they need, and, well, deserve.
This obviously takes the app to a new place - now talking about some sort of profile system - this would obviously be a huge feature to add with a load of other implications.
However - you might want to stick some validation or a moderation step in: the first in the list is currently "necenzurat is looking for help with getting laid. In return, they can offer their help with massage.".
Unless, of course, that is the real underlying intention of the app...
EDIT: After a short think, I think it would be nice to use a similar auto-complete "tag" entry system a la Stack Overflow. This would make entering any number of skills a great deal easier than just a text field.
Testing can only ever go so far - bugs and vulnerabilities exist everywhere, even in Facebook.
