Thanks. I should have a early test up in a month or two. Just registered dominusgame.net.

Someone please fix 3d software. Autodesk owns 3 of the top 4 3d software programs. They are about to stop developing Softimage. There other two have little innovation and lots of bugs. Their biggest competition Modo is not a complete enough package to be used by major studios. Someone please bring a fresh pair of eyes and create an innovative killer 3d program.

Next on the todo list is to add a tutorial and do the front page.

A simple algorithmic stock trader. https://green-machine.us

Give it a set of rules and it will buy and sell stock for you. I got interested in algorithmic trading and built this site to find out if it works. If it does I'll add real money trading.

Meteor.js looks amazing, if they come out with auth I may re-write it again with sharing tasks. Other than that I plan to keep polishing and adding features.

What is an example of a design you like?

If I find an simple easy way I'll re-write it again with sharing :D Meteor.js looks promising.

Thanks for the feedback.

I find all three of the buttons slow and clunky. For a while I didn't have a delete button because using shift+backspace is so much faster. Same goes for the other two buttons.

I like "task" more than "notes" because I plan to add more things than just notes to that panel.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I woke up and was amazed to see 5000 visitors, wow.

The plus button is to add a task.

The up/down arrow button is to reorder tasks. Click and drag, make sure your cursor stays over the tasks. You can also re-order with shift+up/down.

It's hard to see which one is highlighted. They need more contrast.

Rails, Heroku, Jquery. Devise, nested_set, chronic, acts-as-taggable-on, acts_as_indexed gems. Spreedly for recurring payments. Getlocalization.com for translations. Clicky for realtime stats.

Thanks, fixed.
dan335··on Experiment: I'm making Tasskr free.
Before it was free for limited features, pay for all features. Now it's free for all features. If you pay $2/month you're supporting the site and the ads go away.

I use reminders and recurring tasks a lot now. Before, people using the free version didn't have access to them which I think is the coolest part of the app.

Thanks for the feedback.

Sharing is coming in the next couple weeks. What I'm planning is if you add :someones@email in the task name then that task and it's children will show up in their tasks and be editable by both people.

I'm guessing the biggest competitors are tadalist and remember the milk. Added an import feature to my todo list.

dan335··on Show HN: Tasskr
Wrong translation tag. All fixed, thanks.

Should work soon, thanks.

It has a basic mobile site. http://tasskr.com/?mobile=1 And plans for more. I should add something to the front page mentioning it.

Yeah right now there's a page that sells the upgrade but people can only get to it after they login. http://tasskr.com/upgrade Know of some good examples of sites that setup expectations?

I wish there was a section where people could only submit things they wrote, created or had a hand in creating. I can get news somewhere else.

So go after business users. Do you think they are more likely to pay for an app like this?
dan335··on Ask HN: Review my startup, tasskr.com
That's on the long list of things I'd like to add. If you have suggestions on best way to implement let me know.
dan335··on Ask HN: Review my startup, tasskr.com
Yeah that helps, thanks.

Months ago I went through that list and couldn't find one I liked. Half are not todo lists, a lot of them are downloadable which I didn't want and most were way too complicated. The few that had the features I wanted were too complicated. Do you use one of those?

Most companies have lots of in-house tools and scripts they have written to help artists do their job. A company like Bungie will have people dedicated to working on tools for artists. The positions are called tech artist or tools programmer. Some companies have much better tools than others.
