dallamaneni··on Jarvis – A Personal Assistant for Linux
Do not mean to discourage but the commit messages drove me nuts: https://github.com/sukeesh/Jarvis/commits/master

Long time ago, i was using a similar thing called betty (Not sure if it is still working): https://github.com/pickhardt/betty

dallamaneni··on Revert the GitHub dark header
I like the dark header. Wish they make an optional dark theme.
dallamaneni··on Hyper – A terminal emulator based on JavaScript, HTML and CSS
I gave this a shot a few months ago. It was not bad but had many usability and stability problems like unsupported fonts, crashing and some others that I don't remember now. Terminal is the last thing I expect to crash. Did not find a compelling reason to ditch iTerm2 on Mac and Terminator on Linux.
dallamaneni··on What a good commit message looks like (2011)
I made this git commit template sometime ago. Check it out if it is of any help: https://gist.github.com/adeekshith/cd4c95a064977cdc6c50
dallamaneni··on Firefox Hardware Report for Web Developers
I consider myself an advanced user and I enable sending Telemetry and crash reports on Firefox explicitly. I dont do that on Chrome but I prefer doing that on Firefox. The point I am trying to make is, although I agree that some users may opt-out, many trust Mozilla and so would usually let it collect data like this.

Haha, yeah may should have said "lood looking" instead of "gorgeous".

Inspired by Cleartext for the web. Read my blog post on this if interested: http://www.deekshith.in/2016/04/easy-write-intro.html Let me know your feedback. Thanks :)
dallamaneni··on Cleartext: A text editor that only allows the 1,000 most common words in English
There is a web version of this which I made a few days ago: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=11424197

Check EasyWrite: Cleartext alternative for the web: https://github.com/adeekshith/easy-write
dallamaneni··on Show HN: EasyWrite- Write Only Using Top 1,000 Words
Yeah, I thought about it. I would like to make it auto suggest words on mouseover or click similar to other auto correction systems. That would be a great addition. Will work on that. Thanks for the suggestion.
dallamaneni··on Show HN: EasyWrite- Write Only Using Top 1,000 Words
Hi, I recently came across ClearText Mac app which does the same but it works only on a Mac. I also felt that it would be great if the app recommends using certain words instead of enforcing it. So I made this web app which solves both the problems. Read my blog post for more information about this: http://www.deekshith.in/2016/04/easy-write-intro.html

Also check out the code on Github: https://github.com/adeekshith/easy-write

dallamaneni··on How DuckDuckGo is trying to help programmers
It is amazing! I searched for "get unmerged branches git" today in DDG and I am amazed it directly gave me the answer.

Thank you :)

Yeah, sorry about that but thanks you asked. I am trying to integrate rollApp (https://www.rollapp.com/), Microsoft Office online and Yandex document viewer into it. rollApp supports literally hundreds of file formats. The only problem I have is keeping the interface less complex. For that I am now working on a API wrapper interface separated from the extension to keep the extension's settings simple. It may take a couple of months before I roll it out though.

Dont worry, here is the source code: https://github.com/adeekshith/Docs-Online-Viewer

But it is lagging a month behind due to Firefox webextensions. I want the code to be compatible with all three browsers so I am releasing it according to Firefox's webextensions. Also, nobody ever cared to check the code from past two years so I never bothered to update it on Github. The only 1 star in the source code is my own star ;) Will do it soon.

That said, feel free to view/modify the crx/zip file as mentioned in the other comments. Will be glad if you can make any comments or suggest improvements to the code. :)

Actually, no services see your data while browsing. But when you click/open a file, it opens with http://docs.google.com/. So technically, docs.google.com will be able to see your data. I may add Microsoft Office Online soon.
