Doesn't Apple offer purchases refunds?
dagi3d··on Oxide raises $200M Series C
I just talk about some comments I read some time ago, so take this with a grain of salt. It was my understanding that if you were spending about $300k-$500k a year in cloud services, it would make sense this type of solution, so the expected price would be something between $500k-$1M depending on the configuration
dagi3d··on Oxide raises $200M Series C
If I had millions in my bank, instead of buying fancy cars, I would definitely buy an Oxide rack just for the lols

the issue is that mistakes can't be fixed in the sense once they are discovered, it doesn't matter if they are eventually redacted

> San Diego power cost is over 40c/kWh, ~3x the global average. It’s a ripoff, and overpriced simply due to political dysfunction.

Mind anyone elaborate? Always thought this is was a direct cause of the free market. Not sure if by dysfunction the op means lack of intervention.

Agree. I hate the fullscreen animation so I prefer apps that have a non-native and no animation option such as Ghosty.

adding this should also do the trick: shell-integration-features = ssh-env
dagi3d··on Ghostty is now non-profit
I really love Ghostty. Thanks to it, my comeback to (n)vim has been quite smooth. Keybindings with the CMD key works right away without having to send any escape sequence or similar. It just works™

for investors, it will highly depend on the valuation ($350m) and liquidation preferences. so, even if they "only" raised $50m, seeing almost or none return is plausible. this also includes employees who exercised their options. another story is for the founders
dagi3d··on Friendly attributes pattern in Ruby
when *everything* is an object this kind of syntax makes absolutely sense and is quite convenient
dagi3d··on Libghostty is coming
I recently ditched VS Code in favor of Neovim and thanks to Ghostty transition has been a success. As a Mac user I use the cmd key in tons of shortcuts and it just worked out of the box, no need to send weird escape sequences

You know, survival bias. For each floss project where its devs can make a decent living just working on that project, I can can name way more where they depend on the free labour/willing of their maintainers.

>Spaniards have a later lunch, starting around 1pm, and going on until 4 or 5pm. This could possibly be due to the tradition of afternoon siesta.

It's "funny" how someone that is supposed to be so smart, can be so ignorant at the same time

dagi3d··on I use zip bombs to protect my server
I get your point(and have no idea why it isn't compressed more), but is the theoretical value of 1 byte correct? With just one single byte, how does it know how big should the file be after being decompressed?
