It’s down down down if you entered at a high price AND sold within 3yrs
No one who held BTC for 3-4 yrs straight has lost money on their investment throughout the entire history of BTC
There will be a point in time where this won’t be true anymore, but I think we are far from it
Bitcoin has no CEO or accountants.
It has also gone up A LOT more than Enron did over a much longer timespan.
How can you look at the log chart and think BTC is “going to zero”?

China
Guess what else they banned: Google Twitter Facebook …
No one will be paying attention to this in a year. New political don’t start from 1 person who has not held office and failed twice to win an election.
Developers are rushing to start new companies?
Seems bogus to me. Tech workers are doing quite well financially speaking, and anecdotally I know no one (I’m 37 in medium/big tech) who started a new business the past year. The data from VC funding of companies is hardly a good measure of devs in their 30s/40s leaving their jobs to start new companies.
Also angst against capitalism is being addressed by…checks notes…starting your own company?! Seems like such an endless spew of one false narrative after another
There is broad consensus that covid will turn into a cold/flu like illness once our bodies have built a strong enough immune response.
What about measles vaccine requirements? Have you complained about those recently? Believe it or not, there was a time when measles wasn’t a thing and very few question the need for a measles vaccine now.
What about the broad polio vaccine rollout?
Vaccine hesitancy has been a thing, but never this strongly along party lines
Doesn’t change the original statement I made one bit
Does not change anything about my original statement.
The end outcome of “oops I bumped into you” is basically nothing. The end outcome of an intentional shove is quite different (maybe lack of trust develops, etc)
The end outcome of punching someone in the face while drunk and saying “hey brah I didn’t mean to” is still gonna feel shitty no matter the intent
In every aspect of your life
If you dollar cost average Bitcoin, it has outperformed the usd and will very likely continue to do so in the future.
They are actually at the forefront of adoption of The Lightning Network.
Argentina has had over 30% inflation EACH YEAR for many years in a row, for instance
Maybe elsewhere tho…like South America or Africa
First, the B Word conference also helped prop up the price of Bitcoin recently.
There was also a lot of bullish “on-chain” metrics lately - more new people holding Bitcoin longer, etc. a few on Bitcoin have been predicting a bit of a supply shock for the last couple weeks
Anyway… I also think it’s totally silly of an idea that Amazon would accept Bitcoin payments now. Tesla just backed out of doing so.
Very few in the US have much interest in using BTC outside as a store of value. Many other countries in South America and Africa will adopt Bitcoin for more legit reasons before big companies in the US hop on board IMO…those areas have way messier of monetary systems and serve as actual better use cases for Bitcoin
Joking
That couldn’t be more wrong.
Look into The Lightning Network
One option is Bitcoin
El Salvador doesn’t have too much inflation since it uses USD. In their case, independence from USD is also a goal
But, looking at the fundamental properties of BTC, it does have better properties than USD. It’s just not adopted enough to be stable…but you at least gotta admit that, over time, can change
Hal Finney basically knew this in 2009
Elizabeth Stark knew this in 2014 and started Lightning
