I like the idea of a fresh start in the crowded market of PHP frameworks.. But also, I think that there if you're willing to do the effort to work with something new, you should also try new languages. The web is moving very fast and the nicest projects in github today aren't built in php.
I'm not a big fan of TC either but they earned their position and users are sharing their stories. Help the community promote other points of views instead, but arguing against them just gives them more relevance.

A great city, a good place to take pictures, and 9750 images to share to the world. The about section has a lot of great info about this project. I hope they do some travel and bring us other locations like this.
The idea is good but you need to use the current HN data or some sort of connection to our profiles. Having a separate website where you have to register won't really show the user data from here.
