...just months after TC seemingly can't run itself out of breath highlighting and hyping up all these same companies enough. Constant fanfare or doom, all hyperbole, nothing in between or representative of reality which is somewhere in the far less exciting middle.
I nearly joined Balanced a little over a year ago, but went another route. I was really impressed with their founding team and employees, very much a class act with some smart, passionate people. Sorry to hear.
The other commenters here are correct, it is a reference to Time's Arrow (the book, or Star Trek: TNG episode), and other directional time metaphors :)
Wow, in my half-awake state I initially read that as 'BEAR detection using JavaScript and the Web Audio API". Unfortunately the article did not live up to the promise.
I think what you're trying to say is that you're sick of people misusing or otherwise applying GOF patterns without thinking about them. Being 'sick of GOF patterns' is something entirely different.
I think the point of the article is that even if you can get yourself to a state of zero debt, and then start saving...any significant purchase (home, auto) ends up placing you right back in that state. You've locked away a significant portion of your income for a very long time, and generally most people can't then afford to purchase a home or car without going right back into debt.
Love it. This is great for some very specific use cases (thinking about wall displays / large dashboards). It is definitely NOT for accessibility or for the bulk of text on most web pages.
Not every library / tool has to be universally applicable to be useful.
Love it...I found the intro annoying and obstructive though. For something like that I'd want to just jump directly to a usable demo, maybe with some tooltips or other explanation.
