crossman··on Show HN: CC0 Avatar placeholder service
Could be useful to have an option to specify adult/child/all ages. I mean, I know they're placeholders. But it would seem odd to see children in our staging app since I don't think many children are involved in B2B sales.

No I mean a personal side-project that I have no slack set up for because I'm literally the only person that works on it. Not just the only person on a project in a company.

Anyway, email would probably be fine for me.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm interested in trying it out, but do I really feel like setting up slack for a side project when I'm the only one that works on it?

Living in Providence, I find it amusing their picture is from Watch Hill, which is as far away from Providence as you can get and still technically be in Rhode Island.

I'm curious to hear about what gains you saw from dropping it and how you handled rendering

Cool. I starred the repo on github so I can follow your progress. I might have a use for this in a project of mine and I like the API you've established

I was intrigued. But a couple of things:

  - the movie poster breaks as soon as it should start predicting your score
  - an option to skip movies you haven't soon would be helpful
  - it showed me a movie I had already rated in its initial data gathering phase
I'm interested in playing around with this even after a rough demo
crossman··on React on ES6+
I wrote a small utility for using mixins with my React components. I've been finding it really useful. The notes assume you're using ES7 decorators. But you could easily use it with ES5/6 syntax by treating it as a normal function and just passing your class to it.

edit: a link would be helpful, right?
