creativityhurts··on Tweetbot for Mac is available in the App Store
There was a lot of controversy when Tweetbot for iPhone was released and people were complaining about the same design thing, that it's not iOS-like and now a lot of people love it. But I see your point. I've been using it since it first came out as alpha and I had no problem with the design choices especially because it looks a lot like the iPad app.

Their iPad app was $5 so you should recheck your expectations.

There are a lot of apps out there more expensive than Mountain Lion that you might not even use as often as a Twitter client [1] and because ML was so cheap it doesn't mean that every Mac app should be under %19.98 from now on.

They look like Mac apps because, with 2 exceptions, they're all Apple apps. The Tweetbots apps needed to have the same design.

edit: I know about the bug you mentioned and it looks like they've fixed it.

Not exactly. They have a limited number of tokens, read more about that on their blog post http://tapbots.com/blog/news/tweetbot-mac

It's $20 for a well-done piece of software that syncs very well with the other Twitter apps you use on your iOS devices (assuming that if you're interested in Tweetbot for Mac you already use it on your iPhone/iPad).

I would've paid the same amount even if it wasn't for the Twitter token restriction issue because $20 is not that much for an app use a few good times per hour every single day.

Perhaps they're waiting for the CEO to come back from his long vacation.

I wished he removed some of those words though and I really want to believe that people don't use racist commit messages.

creativityhurts··on Twitter Open-Sources Clutch.IO, Mobile A/B Testing Service
Good move, Twitter. They just bought an A/B mobile testing service for mobile apps which is super awesome given that their Twitter apps have always sucked and now they make it available for the rest of us for free. Making friends with both the users and the developers so maybe people will forget about promoted tweets and API policy changes.
creativityhurts··on The Magazine: For geeks like us. By Marco Arment
From what I recall he said he'll drop the support for iPad 1 with the next big Instapaper release.
creativityhurts··on The Magazine: For geeks like us. By Marco Arment
No, it doesn't. Marco has been talking a lot on his podcast about dropping support for the iPad 1 for Instapaper as well in order to use some of the new iOS6 features.

I don't think it's good marketing to associate your business with Zynga nowadays.

w3fools.com tried to kill w3schools and it couldn't do it.

I find it quite sad that these elementary things don't work even for an alpha give the big names that are involved in the project.

The Original Web Developer. Should have been Web Creator though.
creativityhurts··on Postmortem: Team Meat's Super Meat Boy
I wouldn't say massive douche but there were a few things that I didn't like about their attitude. But if you go past that the storyline is pretty ok and the movie overall, which features a few other game developers is actually worth watching.
creativityhurts··on Postmortem: Team Meat's Super Meat Boy
You can follow their development story in Indie Game: The Movie. Very interesting, especially if you're new to the indie game scene.
creativityhurts··on Can programmers without CS degrees find jobs?
As anyone mentioned before, if you're good and hard working you can easily find good jobs.

Besides the cons mentioned by others I would like to add that not having a CS degree or any degree at all can make it really hard for non-US people to obtain a working visa in the States.

creativityhurts··on Maily: Your Kids' First Email
A small suggestion for the website: always show the scrollbar because the transition is pretty annoying otherwise.
creativityhurts··on Show HN: What's Your Browser's Age?
Out of curiosity, why's that? Why do you need a browser for dev and a different one for actually browsing the web?
creativityhurts··on Show HN: What's Your Browser's Age?
Most of the devs I know use one browser for everything and IE for testing. I take it you use FF for dev because of Firebug and Web Developer Toolbar and Chrome for browsing and personal stuff?
creativityhurts··on Show HN: What's Your Browser's Age?
Let's face it, Firefox has been pretty popular among developers because of Firebug but given the rapid development of the Chrome Developer Tools there should be no wonder that's not the case anymore.
creativityhurts··on Facebook uses Twitter Bootstrap
I meant other giants besides the company that helped creating it.
creativityhurts··on Facebook uses Twitter Bootstrap
I think it's a big thing for Bootstrap as a project and for its creators and contributors when their work is used by giants like Facebook & co.
creativityhurts··on Facebook uses Twitter Bootstrap
The top bar and the left side is still from Facebook, Bootstrap is used within an iframe that's actually the whole main column.
creativityhurts··on Facebook uses Twitter Bootstrap
Funny that not even Facebook devs bothered to change the colours to use the FB brand blue. Twitter Bootstrap slowly becomes synonym to "basic unstyled webpage".
creativityhurts··on This Site Pays Developers When It Finds Them a Job
It doesn't stop anyone from creating a profile though. It's still weird, it looks more like an attempt to snatch talent from some of the highest paying employers.
creativityhurts··on This Site Pays Developers When It Finds Them a Job
I created a profile out of curiosity although the plain boostrap site didn't give me any confidence but I found it a bit irritating that the phone number was mandatory. I just hope it doesn't fall in the hands of just any recruiter.
