almost everyone gets along fine on remote, but sometimes management of remote employees is a serious pain. it's much easier to shop for talent and get the best devs and sysadmins vs people in the area.
every single form she presented to us that was needed to close out the account had errors in it to the point it was funny: she mismatched names and SSNs, printed stuff on incorrect lines, etc. took an hour to escape

BoA sucks so bad that LaSalle Bank was awesome in comparison. if there were one US bank i could make collapse it would be BoA: it has awful customer service, crappy online interface and is run like a giant turd.
nothing quite like waiting 45 minutes to make a fucking wire transfer at a branch. employees turn over at their chicago branches more often than any other bank i've ever been to.
it does further restrict who can access data which is good and it seems to come at a serious cost in complexity. if your db admin is bleeding company data i think your problems are just beginning...

"what do you mean your site isn't optimized for viewing with lynx!?!"
you're right to point out that there is not yet a way to separate 1st and 3rd party scripts, but the cookies are handled by the xxxterm.conf setting
cookie_policy = no3rdparty
there is no handling for surrogate scripts atm. i can say that i personally don't bother with sites that require advertisements for viewing but i can understand the desire to do so.
