code-is-code··on The senatorial governance of Bitcoin: making (de)centralized money
I do not think that is true. The winning chain will be the one where most people accept the coins from. Miner will only follow.

code-is-code··on Rise and Demise of RSS
I added GreenkeeperBot/renovate to my project so a PR is done whenever a dependency can be updated.
code-is-code··on Idle Until Urgent
A few month ago, I used a similar optimisation that does the same idle-awaiting but with server-requests instead of cpu-usage. So instead of submitting all ajax to the server directly, background tasks can be delayed until the important tasks have finished. This is useful especially when the 6 requests per origin limit gets hit often.

code-is-code··on Jschema.js is a framework for modeling data in JavaScript
Maybe an example schema on the readme would help
code-is-code··on Napa.js: A multi-threaded JavaScript runtime
I tested this with docker and could not observe a big performance-penalty on the cpu usage. Of corse you need more memory and the biggest thing is that you have to build your application in a way that you can do this later.
code-is-code··on Real-Time Databases Explained: Why Meteor, Rethink, Parse and Firebase Don't Scale
Meteor has the op-log-driver which calculates query-result for changes instead of running the wohle query again. Same comes with rxdb where it's called query-change-detection.
code-is-code··on Bitcoin Is Now Bigger Than Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley
If you, a single person, owns all bitcoin, noone would buy a single satoshi from you.
code-is-code··on Why Hiring Rockstars Is Harmful to Your Organization
I worked in many teams and projects. Each time we had a "rockstar" in the team, he was worth more than 3 regular guys.

In the last project most echnical decisions where made/influenced by the rockstar and we saved so much time with playing arround or programming things that brake in the future.

As a recruiter I would never hire rockstars-only. But I would definitely make sure that I have a good ratio of them.

It would also be great to see a comparison to the couchDB-sync which I currently use via pouchdb/rxdb.

That makes sense. An error-message would have been nice.
code-is-code··on ZeroNet: Decentralized websites using Bitcoin crypto and the BitTorrent network
I'm following the developement of zeronet for the past 3 years. I'm not convinced that it is the final solution to the decentralized internet. A main thing that bothers me is the insane lookup-time for site with a low distribution. The same problem occurs with ipfs btw. It takes up to one minute to find a the correct node when only one node hast the content-hash.

Looks like it does not work on mobile chrome
