Sounds like MS, that is the only way they can get organic customers. All their popular products are originally built by someone else except Windows of course
This sounds so cool, I wish I could try it out, usually I never think about letters when typing, only words and they are executed by my fingers instantly non-consciously, I'm curious how this system would work with a fast-typer like myself
Sounds great but being limited to using an Apple OS is a show-stopper issue. I'd rather have a less good processor and using an OS that does not put constraint onto my usage
Librem 5 is the way forward for programmers, Apple is not for truck-drivers anymore, only for electric hooverboarders (reference to Steve Jobs talk about post-pc devices)
I use an automatic saving from my bank-account to a investment-robot that my bank provides that automatically buys shares in different funds, I would say it gives 10-20% back and requires zero effort, took less than an hour to setup
The AI generated paragraph made no sense to me and did not sound like the first. AI is like a narccisist, every other day people say it's useless and then the next it's the savior of the world.
I agree about this issue, maybe in the distant future this could be fixed as well but where will VSCode be at that stage? Probably even more miles ahead, due to MS funding. When there is good async support in Emacs a lot of packages would need to be rewritten.
However I prefer Emacs anyday over VSCode, I am very productive in Emacs because I'm used to doing almost everything in it
Regular bikes have the benefit that they improve your health, it's not exhaustive once you get a better stamina. E-bikes are a bad product I think in todays society
Writing a parser for one specific version of a language is one thing (nontrivial), but writing a parser than parsed most versions of most programming languages and keeping it up-to-date is a enormous undertaking and cannot be done by one person
One could probably do a paper about evil universities doing stupid things.. anyway evil actions are evil regardless of the context, research 100-yrs ago was intentionally evil without being questioned, today ethics should filter what research should be done or not
You can use that line of reasoning for anything, like prostitution, hitmen, drug-dealers.. Work is not necessary for surviving really, we are just used to it for some centuries
Git can also be an offensive word just like blame. It just depends on what attitude people have towards the context. I am not offended by git, blame, master and slave and I think it would be best if people who are offended just change their attitude towards the context
I don't think so because that is a property of hash-maps, rather it seems to test some properties of an item to know that it is not in the set or that it might be in the set
Yes that is because Apple promises that everything works iff you buy hardware and installation of it from them. I changed a RAM module once and hibernation stopped working, Apple says that is because it's not the identical RAM-module they sell. So their list of supported hardware is pretty small
The is–ought problem is a philosophical problem of how knowledge of the present world does not necessarily lead to knowledge of how the world ought to be. This is also sometimes referred to as Hume's law or "Hume's Guillotine".[2]
